Mr. Madras channel is about celebrating Madras of the past and enjoying Chennai of the present. It is also recognizing the needs of Tamil diaspora on travel, immigration, culture, food and entertainment. I publish content in Tamil and English for this audience.
Bangalore and Hyderabad have completely dominated the IT spaces over the last decade and are competing among themselves and Chennai isn't even a major player anymore. We can only hope Google comes up with a product that will be suited to our talent ecosystem so that they can open an office in Chennai.
Wow, good explanation about the concept of aquarium, which one will not be able to decipher in awe while visiting and good coverage of the mermaid show. Excellent video🎉
This corridor 5 from madhavaram to shollinganallur hopefully will come to operation by 2028. This thirumangalam station which gonna penitrate inside building may be complted only by 2030. So this station will be skipped untill it gets complted
If the movement could be a bit slowed down, and include slow zoom, would be a better package.. language, pronunciation, voice is great - awaiting documentary style video soon
MK Stalin wants to develop only chennai thats why he alloacated 66000 cr fro state govt fund fot Chennai Metro.Chennai laready has suburban lines upto 80kms cv=voerage around,1 MRTS,2 Metro line.COimbatore and Maduari face severe congestion. Now,German bank has rejected to fund CBE and MDU metro.Stalin should stop 2 metro lines in Chennai and trafer the funsd for iplemneting each one line for Coimbatore and Maduarai
@@mrmadras1 also we need consider political instability that is happening for the past 10 years that made many companies to relocate to Bengaluru and Hyderabad. If you closely look at the stats Bengaluru and Hyderabad has grown massively in the last 10 years and Chennai's growth tanked at the same time. Being one among the 4 major metropolitan Cities in India Chennai has lost its glory to new cities like Bengaluru, Hyderabad and it is sitting above Pune for now 😭. I want my hometown to prosper again as it used to be in early 2005 to 2010 so that I can move back to Chennai. We had major IT boom during this time period.
The Airport-Washermanpet line of Chennai Metro rail already passes under the cooum river. And a recently opened line of Kolkata metro passes under the Hoogly river. Don't give wrong information.
Why is Indian govt celebrating Kolkata as the first underwater metro in 2024? because the Coovum tunnel is not regarded as underwater. That way, every city has some canal or stream over their metro line. Adyar river and Chetpet lake are considered real water bodies hence they will be Chennai’s first underwater metro tunnels as reported by Times of India and others too.

Some times this cmrl news we can see in the print media. Foe example from Foreshore estate to porur metro UG track coming from Panagal park to Meenakastchi college are suppose to have two stations at panagal park & at Meenakschi college, but the distance seems to less than what actually requirement, so they shifted Meenakshi metro station to old pesum padam near Dr. Ambathkar statue. Being all the only under proposal maps, no print information will be available.
CMRL phase 2 was approved in 2019, and the project will ultimately be funded by central government. However, efforts of current govt are also appreciated
Total cost of phase 2 is approximately 60,000 crore. 60 percentage of total cost is funded by japanese international cooperation agency through long term loan. Remaining 40 percentage of total cost is funded by state and central government . Both centre and state has 50:50 equity. tamilnadu gov allocated 12000 crore. Central gov allocation is awaited.
New greenfield airport is need of the hour...Decision for new airport was arrived decades back..But it has not been commissioned. Bengaluru and Hyderabad airports have gone way ahead in terms of connectivities of both international and domestic..Consequence is that Chennai airport, once served as third busiest gateway has been stepped down to fifth position...TN jetsetters have to rely on Bengaluru for more Europe connectivity...
