Thanks for landing on my RU-vid channel! I take my audience with me either vlog or how to style depending on my planned week. I'm employed by Fronius a world wide welding manufacture. I show different manufacturing companies and tourist areas during my work trips. Because there's no rest for the wicked, on the side I also renovate houses to build a rental portfolio. Currently, I'm taking my viewers on a complete renovation journey on my first wholesale deal! While keeping busy I love to incorporate my family on the many projects that I do. Including DIY videos to make our lives easier around the house, as well as sharing family vacations along the way. Speaking of family life, my wife and I have three boys and twins on the way. Oh yeah, that's right five kids - a bit excessive I know. They will often be featured and you can rest assured there antics are always entertaining. It's a fully loaded channel and as you can see I'm just Chris_B_Liven
Question, when you set a material thickness, then change the voltage, on my machine it re-adjusts the material thickness, but you change both, does it do it independantly, and how do you do that?
Got the TS2000, questions: 1) Why is there no Synergic mode for 0.8mm flux core? 2) Why does Aluminium start at 1mm, and if you have 0.8mm wire, can you still use it?
Great stuff, but can you run 6010 or 6011 rods on it? can it weld very thin steel and mig thin aluminium, I am one step away from getting one, but also have my eye on the Artis 170.
Hello 👋 It doesn’t run 6010 or 6011 but it runs 6013. We are running a promotion on the TST 2200/2700. Shoot me an email for more info Bliven.christopher@fronius.com
@@chris_b_liven Hi, Chris, will do, the open circuit voltage suggests it should handle cellulose rods, but not even 6011( even the cheap amazon ones can do that.
@@chris_b_liven The TS200 has an open circuit voltage of 90V, so on paper it SHOULD run any rod, online one guy said he talked to a tech guy at Fronius that said it will run any rod including the 6010, so question is, have you tried running 6010 or is it just based on a possibly false rumour?
@@chris_b_liven Also, I think it has a feature to prevent long arcing? maybe people are not disabling that before trying 6010 and then thinking it cant weld it?
What a great video! If you need to mount another one, take a look at "The New Guy Robot Mount" from JMC Motion. It's made to work with your existing fixtures/tooling and reduce upfront costs.
Hey im running like 25amps 8-10 hot start -4-(-2)dig and 30-35 gass doing ok but i want a smoother weld puddle any advice? Btw the thickness is anything from 3/8 to 3/4
Hey. The 2700 should be a big enough machine for truck repair. What is the maximum wire size you will use? There is a promotion running where you receive a free secondary MIG lead with purchase. Shoot me an email and I can help with directing you to the closest dealer - Bliven.Christopher@fronius.com
I can't believe I'm just finding alum vids with the transsteel now, I've watched so many vids of htp and everlast (trying not to go spoolgun for my miller) and was convinced welding alum with a normal gun was a gimmick. All these pulse and double pulse machine produce the worst results. I need a Fronius.
Im gonna do a 1" 3G / 4G weld test soon, 0.45 flux wire 100% Co2 , ive never done this with this gas mix. Ive always done C25...any advice guys??? Id really appreciate it...thanks before hand !!!
Fronius direly needs a 250amp+ Multiprocess Welder with A/C Tig capabilities for aluminum, HF start and one that is a 120-240v single (1) phase machine!! The competition is there. Something the beats the HTP 2500, ESAB 205 285, Miller 220 and 255 multimatics, Lincoln 215 etc
Hi. Slowly learning the settings on this machine and your videos have been absolutely priceless.. Many thanks.. What's your thoughts on 2200 as a tig machine. ? My local distributor doesn't rate it for anything other than small repairs
@@chris_b_liven Thanks Chris. We are using a process like this at work. The set up sheet says DCEN but the machine was running in DCEP. Set up sheet appears wrong.
Thanks man. Great welder. I took it down to Honduras in a suitcase so I could build some equipment with it. Just think how awesome it could be with high frequency AC/DC tig and a foot pedal.@@chris_b_liven
Hi Chris, First of love your work . Why is that when I mig weld in manual flip up my hood after running a bead & sometimes my settings change ? Any help would be great
Kevin, it’s probably because it’s showing an actual AMP setting during welding. We call it a hold. It holds actual settings on the display during welding
Nice video, I have been playing with silicon bronze tig brazing and have fount it to be really temperamental at least for me, I am going to go buy a couple small rolls of silicon.amd aluminum bronze for my mig to see if I can do any better with that machine, unfortunately my welder doesn't give me the option for the specialty wore itself so I will have to play around a little to try and find a setting that works. What polarity are you set up with when mig brazing? That in itself should get me started off in the right direction. Thanks for the video, interesting and helpful.
@chris_b_liven Thanks Chris, do I need to buy extra parts ? Or these machine works as the 2200 when welding Aluminium on mig? By the way appreciated your help I'm trying to get a new welding machine.
@@angarorz1 Yes, I suggest ordering the aluminum parts which include a 1/16 liner, drive wheels and .052 contact tips. Send me an email at bliven.christopher@fronius.com and I can assist
