I decided for Panasonic for photos. The thing is they put EVERYTHING in their bodies. Besides being very competitive in photography, their cameras always contain all of the video features that usually cost extra money in other brands. People will say Lumix is for video just because it supports dozens of codecs and has a V-log. How about highres photo, possible handheld? How about 1.5s preburst in RAW? How about insane stabilization, no AA filter for extra detail in photos, focus stacking, 6k photo and other insane features? I mean, R3 doesn't even have a preburst! But the biggest issue is Panasonic can't sell themselves for photography. All of their marketing, influencers, ambassadors, everybody does video. Noone is propagating photography. So yeah, people then assume it's for videographers only. The good thing is Panasonic is so bad at promoting photography they have to give people free stuff. I bought my S5II + 20-60 with free 50/1.8 and free 85/1.8 which are both really good lens. And they have to do this to get people on board for photography. Honestly I was shooting Canon, Fuji and Nikon and I finally found myself in Panasonic. Compared to everything, I didn't honestly see I had worse AF performance or anything, but I have better lens options and much more features for overall everything, photo and video.
amazing bts as always! the way you interact with them and you calm demeanor really helps the couple get comfortable. anyway, 18:50 did you bump into that little girl? 😅😅
Question! I hope you can answer soon hahaha i have a wedding this saturday. I’m a videographer but got booked in for photography. My prime is only 85mm f1.8 and 24-70 f2.8 for another camera. Is that more than enough? Flash, i bought V1 and ad200 pro. You reckon i use the V1 with the 24-70 and off flash set up for the 85mm? they’ll be doing a sparkler machine when they come in and dance, i don’t need flash for that right? Lastly, white balance during reception, entrance (sparkler machine) and dance, do I have to put it in AWB or a little warm? Any advice would be appreciated 🙏🏼🙏🏼🙏🏼🙏🏼 i have been binge watching all your BTS since last week! Hahah
An 85 and 24-70 are more than enough to shoot a wedding. I use my V1 on camera for most of my flash work at a wedding. I use an AD200 with an umbrella off camera for family formals. It's not a bad idea to use off camera flash with the 85, however, I usually just use a 35 & 50 when I'm shooting with flash. I always use flash for the sparkler machine. In my experience it turns out better this way. As for white balance, I set my camera to the flash white balance setting - that has worked well for me! Hope this helps and thanks for watching!
@@fortemke THANK YOU!!! 🙏🏼 I might just use the 24-70 during reception. Last question if you dont mind. All Sparkler machine pretty much have the same settings, you reckon 1/128 on the v1 and a little low iso settings? Reason im asking is i dont get to have another take on this one so just trying to follow any general rule when it comes to this 😅 or.. i have strong portable bi-color light, i might just use that when they come in and dont use flash during. Ahhhh im panicking hahaahah
@@715series Depending on the ceiling height, I end up using 1/32 or 1/16 a lot for those types of sparklers. If you miss the shot, you can purchase overlays online of cold sparklers and put them in the photo. It takes a while, but no one can tell the difference.
Have you tried different SD cards to see if that makes a difference with the freezing issue? I've had my Olympus M1iii freeze on me a couple of times until finally there was an error message regarding the second SD card. After not using it anymore, I haven't had any more issues so far *knock on wood*.
You are amazing man. As full time wedding videographer I’m learning a lot about wedding photography through your bts! You reckon you can shoot an entire wedding with 24-70? I still have 24mm f1.8 and 85mm f1.8 in my arsenal with extra camera body (lumix s5ii)
Man. I’m inspired! I’m a fulltime wedding videographer and i just landed my first wedding photography on august for 3 hours. I’m a bit nervous but your bts video actually helps. I might treat photography as how I normally shoot wedding videos. I just hate using flash 🤦🏻♂️ can I ask a question. You reckon during ceremony Camera A - 24mm f1.8 Camera B - 50 or 85mm f1.8? I use lumix 2x s5ii.
