Is the Lumix S5II A Photography Workhorse? My 100k-Image Review 

Just a side note. All L Mount lenses are considered first party native lenses.

Last month I got S5iiX with 35, 50, & 85mm f/1.8 for just under 2500 with tax from B&H this thing is bonkers.

Since Firmware 3.0 this camera is like a new version. Much better.

I did the other way, sold my Z7II and bought S1R and some lenses... What SDCard brand are you using? I have the firmware 1.9 on S1R and never froze on me... Can you share in what situation? I have a Leica SL and it is very good... No stabilization Have you reset the camera (master reset)? I am very curious...

Yes , this freezing drives me crazy lol . But overall S5II is a great hybrid camera if you can customize this camera for yourself and spend some time learning how to focus ( yes , AF in video its still not as reliable as Sony/Canon , but it works just fine for almost every situation ) Got 2 cameras with 50,85,20-60 and Sigma 35 art for < 5k$ . Now thinking to sell my Sony a7IV ,cuz I don't need it anymore

If you’re using single point auto focus, why would the z7ii be worse also has single point that you can move from edge to edge.

Did you not like the sigma 35mm f1.4 dg dn? I just ordered the s5ii and was considering that lens

Ik u seem like a legit dude, not many around , so u might be the right person to ask this. I'm currently shooting M43 [Portraits] and I use the 85mm FF equivalent 90% of the time so there is that. I currently own the Nocticron f1.2 which is more than enough fore me in terms of separation and sharpness, I'm starting to make money with my photography and people are happy with the results so far, so I am. That being said, I'm being forced to upgrade the body and the G9II was the obvious choice but it's hard to not consider the S5II even tho I hate the S85 f1.8 . Is there really a reason to go FF for portraits? I'm not so convinced about the lens selection, just as u said, on the other hand on M43 I never go very wide, 50mm equivalent at best , and there is plenty of decent glass there , am I compromising too much just because the look of one lens by staying in M43? Just for more context I've been editing wedding for other photographers who shoot FF with top nodge glass and I'm not really feeling that I'm missing that much, also the exotic lenses from FF are out of range right now and it's kinda silly to make the "move". But then, the G9II costs the same as the S5II...... and is the same size . What do u think? Am I focusing too much on the rendering of this one lens? I'm really hating this as I'm trying to not put too much emphasis on gear, but then I realize that the only thing that is keeping me happy in this system is a lens, so it's kinda ironic

CF express cards have become cheaper to use than SD cards. Just compare the price of a quality 256 SD card to a 256 CF express card.

Yes IS perfect , yes open gate perfect , but claiming that autofocus for moving targets is perfect can claim only panasonic sales director ....this camera isnt for events photography at all ( maybe funeral body in coffin but not drunk audience ) DONT pay for it ....video yes Photography not ...be careful
