Sorry to hear that! I’ve heard terrific things about the hotel and have stayed in the residences myself! It was fantastic! Hopefully it wasn’t bad enough to deter you from ever visiting Estes Park again!

Stay the heck away from big cities...period. You will be safer and happier. The very fact that you would have to live outside of this city should tell you all you need to know. Also if living outside but close to a big city is at all desireable, it won't be long until that communitiy is overpopulated as well.

If you are going into the mountains during ski season - the back way is _the_ way to go. Last time I tried I-70, It took me 4 hours to reach Loveland Ski Area - and I left the Springs at 5am. Never again. Take the back way. I've never thought Colorado Springs was isolated. It's a solid B city - basically has everything anyone could need and the A city (Denver) is a short drive away without being annexed into the metro area. To me, that's a huge plus. We also have the best city park in the country (Garden of the Gods).
Appreciate the comment! Clearly the back way is the way to go! Loveland Ski Area is one of my favorite spots! Love the perspective, really the point was to compare how connected everything feels in Denver and the surrounding suburbs than CO Springs. Sometimes cons for some can be pros for others! And yes, I have to admit Garden of the Gods is unbelievable!

There are a ton of rental options in Longmont! It also depends on what you’re looking for! Much easier to explain over the phone. My number is 720-548-2012. Give me a call if you want!
There are some in Erie! Mostly single-family properties; however, they are building quite a few townhomes especially towards the center of town! But there are also locations like Longmont and Broomfield that have great options too! All depends on what you’re looking for 😁

Boulder is definitely a bit expensive 😁Have you checked out the surrounding towns for rentals too? Perhaps Louisville, Superior, or even Longmont! They can be much more affordable
@@LifeOnTheFrontRange Yeah, pretty much. The prices are relatively lower in surrounding areas. I think I will end up renting an apartment at Broomfield.

I was going to say Minneapolis must be cold in the winter, but then again Denver can be too 😄 Would love to get your opinion on what about Denver you’re not too crazy on!
1970s bumper sticker: "Don't Californicate Colorado". By early 2000s dear little Boulder had become another San Francisco. Been there, done that. Change is hard, but lots of money will ease the pain.
Great video. I visited Boulder during winter a few years back. Charming place. it was a sunny day. But during the night we experienced heavy cold winds which were scary. Would love to visit again but for moving I would look into other small towns of Colorado.
OK. I went into your profile and checked you out. You must have grown up in Longmont! Obviously you’re MUCH younger than me. Can you just give me a brief description of what Longmont means to you? If you’re not interested in sharing, that’s fine. Just curiosity! I still have a brother in Fort Collins and another brother in the Greeley area (Eaton). And a number of nephews, cousins, granddaughter, great grandchildren and friends! 😊
I grew up on a farm that, at that time, was about 3 miles outside the city. We moved there from South Dakota in 1955, so I went to kindergarten through 8th grade there, then travelled back and forth to Boulder for 4 years of High School. Now that farm is basically part of the town! Longmont was an awesome place to grow up. Eventually I lived in Boulder, Loveland, and Ft. Collins before moving to Oregon ( with a brief 9 year stopover in Wyoming 🙄). Interesting info about my hometown! Thanks! I’m going to check out your channel to see why you’re talking about Longmont! 😊😊😊

As a Texan, Denver is better than Austin, Austin is full of bums everywhere, trash all over the place, graffiti on new built buildings the highways suck, I work in Austin and I hate it. Denver is a better choice, friendly vibes not bad crime rate compared to Austin, legal weed, more to do in Denver than Austin.
I appreciate your honesty about living in Austin! I know each city has its pros and cons and sometimes the cons definitely outweigh the pros. Perhaps a move out to Denver is in the future?
Here's a little fact. Not either city but in Colorado springs I rented a apartment in north Colorado springs in 1998 in was 500 a month all bills paid today the same apartment 1,600 a month today you also have to pay deposit so to move in easily over three thousand to even move in. Not a great transporting system you will need a car or bicycle but north Colorado springs isn't really ideal for bicycle believe or not it's pretty much cars bicycle is more towards the mountains and downtown. You will need a car 100 percent to get around the springs. I say that but later on in 2009 I didn't drive a car from 08- 10 it can be done and a pretty good biking system but Colorado springs gets busier than some may think just keep that in mind.
I appreciate the comment! Always great to get insight into a specific location. The drastic change in cost of living from ‘98 to now is definitely remarkable. If only all the monthly bills could be a total of $500 today 😁
