Unfortunately there’s not enough room on my old CRV for a tool like that. I can’t even get my breaker bar in there dude. Impact forget about it. I just don’t have any good options to get to this stuck bolt ima about to give up man
I did a similar thing removing the front strut lower mounting bolts on a 2003 Hyundai Elantra with a 2-jaw puller. These bolts were frozen in the knuckle (one bolt had the nut side shear off). At first I tried spraying with PB Blaster and waiting, then repeated hammering with a punch and a 5 lb mini sledge hammer. This only made some noise. I also tried an air hammer with a bolt breaker bit and wrench, but no go. I also tried the air hammer with a drift punch to no avail. I even tried applying dry ice to the bolt head for 20 minutes before hammering with the punch. I considered heating with a propane torch, but the strut is right there and its potentially dangerous to use a torch that close to the strut. What finally got the stuck bolt to move was a Duralast 5 ton 2 jaw puller. I placed the end of the forcing screw in the end of the bolt, and placed the two jaw ends on the other side of the strut where the bolt head was. But the ends of the two-jaw puller have to be roughly even, which required me placing a steel flange around the bolt head and having the jaws grip the edge of the flange. I had to go to a local junkyard to find a suitable flange. You have to be careful to ensure the bolt head is not obstructed, and that the puller is clear of the brake line. But the puller was very effective in freeing both stuck bolts. The ball joint press described in this video is a better solution -- especially if you can rent it. With either tool be sure to grease the threads of the forcing screw before you start. When the rust finally gives way you hear a satisfying crunch and the turning becomes easier. It may then be necessary to use a punch and a hammer to knock the bolt fully out.
