I was typing in "the man with the pitcher of water" into RU-vid to find a good commentary on it and I stumbled across your 2 part series here and I know I commented on your other video that the Passover lamb was supposed to be ONE lamb for all of Israel starting after only the FIRST Passover when everyone was to slaughter their own lamb. But now you are saying that sacrifices go all the way back to Adam and again, I am asking myself where you are getting this information. There is no record of Adam offering a sacrifice of any animal ever. Even Abel did not slaughter any animal although I know this is a commonly misunderstood passage based on the English translations so I understand why people think that Able killed animals to offer "fat portions". But Noah is the first person to have offered an עֹלָה "olah" which is not what Abel offered. Abel offered a מִנְחָה "Minchah" and that is not a dead animal. What he offered was חֶלֶב "cheleb" which means "fat" yes, but the consonants of this word are chet, lamed, bet and there were no vowels when the bible was written. This matters because Abel's "chlb" (chet, lamed, bet) is the same word as "milk" as in the land of milk and honey. According to Josephus, and the bible seems to support this, Abel offered the fat of the milk of his animals. He did not kill any animal. Nor did Adam. I assume that perhaps you might be referring to the "tunics of skin" that God made for Adam and Eve, but again, without an actual verse stating that God killed an animal in Genesis to cover Adam and Eve, we are left wondering where this skin came from or what it is. There are a few suggestions out there from various Jewish sources that suggest the "skin" may have been literal human skin and that Adam and Eve were not covered in human skin before the fall. Another interpretation from an old Jewish text was that God used the shed skin of the serpent. (serpents shed skin without dying) Both of these seem a little farfetched to me, but one thing is for sure-the bible does not say that God, nor Adam killed any animal. So we don't get to just add in things to the bible to make it make sense to us. Sacrifice for sin did not begin until the law. So there would have been no killing animals for sin in Adam's time. I Know you are probably thinking that I am fixated on things that have nothing to do with the gift of tongues which is the purpose of your video here, but it's just so frustrating to come to hear a teaching and before we even get to the teaching, so many things are just thrown out there that are not even in the bible. This is how generation after generation gets further and further from the truth in scripture. It's like that game "rumors" where you whisper in the persons ear next to you and it goes down the line until the end where the message is not the original message that started in the beginning. People trust pastors to be speaking only what the bible actually says. I assume that if you went to a seminary that you are able to study the Hebrew and Greek at least with a concordance or interlinear bible. I would suggest doing that so you don't end up saying things that the bible doesn't actually say in it's original text. That's your job as a pastor. I only ever read a bible that has the original words written above it (interlinear) so that I know when the English word is not correct or not quite right. But then again, I guess you kind of have to know what the Hebrew and Greek words mean. After 16 years of studying this way I am becoming more fluent in at least reading bible languages. I can't speak it fluently, but I know a lot of Hebrew and Greek words and definitions at this point. Pastors should too.
I'm curious what makes you think that the apostles went to the temple to have a lamb slaughtered. Nowhere in any of the gospels does it say that they slaughtered a lamb. This was a tradition of the jews that God never commanded. The only time that God ever commanded Israel to kill their own individual lamb for Passover was the first Passover. In Exodus 12:1-13 are the instructions for the Passover in Egypt. From verse 14 on, They are told how to celebrate the Passover in the future with unleavened bread being eaten as a representation of the Passover, but not killing a lamb to eat with it. Later, according to the law, There was to be ONE lamb slaughtered at the temple for all of Israel. For the Jews, The law was to eat unleavened bread for 7 days-no law about sacrificing or eating lamb. The only food mentioned at Jesus's Passover was bread, which would have been unleavened. There is no mention of the apostles going to the temple to prepare a lamb. They were told to "prepare the passover" but the "passover" to be prepared was supposed to be unleavened bread AS the memorial in place of the lamb. There is a difference between tradition and law and Jesus did not keep traditions that were contrary to the law-even if his fellow Jews found no fault in it.
You don’t criticize the 80% of humanity that is muslim or muslim friendly. At the end what is the difference between your speech and their? You criticize churches like they do.
Dear Minister of God I am contacting you at this grounds of prayer and would like to ask a question: why do people close their eyes and pray. Jesus is my example and I cannot find it anywhere in the scriptures were we are required to bow our head and pray. The Bible tells me in John 17 that Jesus looked up while praying
Even the demons believe! They have faith and know that Jesus is the Savior of the world. Yet they are doomed to hell because even though they know they will refuse to repent. What they do not have or desire is to turn from their sin and to Jesus. Their desire to live the way Jesus want them to live is none existent. At Luke 13:3&5 Jesus said "You must repent or you will surely die." Repentance is a change of heart that desires to live the way Jesus want us to live. The message in this video is incomplete and will lead people to hell. "YOU must repent or you will die." Separated from God for eternity. 2 Corinthians 7:10 You must be sorry for the sin in your life. 1John 1:9 You must confess your sins to Jesus, Acts 16:31 believe He can save you from the penalty of sin. Luke 13:3&5 Turn your heart to Jesus with a genuine desire to live according to His will in your life. THAT is the complete good news!
