So ok, yes some good points about the holiness of God and need to be respectful and not lower standards to be accepted in world but he missed a crucial bit of information found in 1 Chronicles 16 v38...the presence of God in Obed's home led him to worship God and serve God perhaps more than he ever did before!...I like to believe that the ark (or presence of God) changed his family so much that when King David summoned it back after 3 months they were sad for it to go. So much so, that he volunteered for activities to bring Him closer to more worship and service 1 Chron 16v5...the choir....1Chron 16v 38...as a gatekeeper. A lesson what when we truly experience the presence of a God we will hunger for more.!
