Hi, you mentioned that you removed the BQ chip and injected 1V 2amps on the phase pin. So my question is how did you get to know that the HIGH mosfet was shorted since you had removed the BQ chip. Thank you for the clarification?
Hello brother, Can you please let me know your setup’s power consumption? In my case, on startup, the current goes up to 4.5A and then drops slowly to reach 2.5A when it reaches the set temperature. It takes up to 2 minutes to reach the set temperature of 260C. The wires get hot because of this current flow. Is there a fix for this, or do I have something wrong? Best Regards

Question: I have a similar board from a Thinkcentre, I had a surge happen when I was cleaning and reseating, it killed the PSU, and killed the Display port circuitry on my display. So when I measure resistance on the 4-pin by the CPU intended to Receive power from the PSU, between +12 and Ground, it starts off at about 10 KOhms, and slowly but evenly the resistance goes up as I hold the leads there, I have seen this with discharging capacitors but I don't understand it. Also, same testing on the Other 4pin connector, intended to power the harddrives, one of the +12's has a complete short to ground. I cannot find ANY evidence of a short anywhere on the board visually. But something must have fried between those 4-pins. Any ideas? Thank you!
If you hadn't found the broken trace/if you had continuity from the switch connector to the chip, would that mean the board/chip needs to be replaced? I have exactly everything going on here on my shop desktop. I don't have 3.3 to the power button, but I do have continuity to the chip.
The 3v3 voltage does not come out of the chip itself but instead from a pull-up resistor to 3v3. If you don't have 3v3 at the Power button and you have continuity to the chip, then you most likely have a problem with the 3v3 or the pull-up resistor. Check for liquid damage next to EC chip
Same issue happened with me, i took it to repair where it turned on normally.. i changed my cables but still its not working in my home.. i tried all different sockets but still couldn't turn it on..cant understand whats the issue.
@bandyinkeplayz4404 A blue light can be a symptom of many different causes,like hard drive, HDMI ic, power supply and a cracked solder balls underneath the Southbridge or the APU if the console was dropped.
Hey my laptop needs BQ 24780S ic chip replacement for my dell inspiron 7577 my laptop currently doesn't turn on the ic currently on looks damaged. My question is can I buy any BQ 24780S chip because i keep seeing difference in the rest of the number specification when i search for it on eBay and Aliexpress. For example the chip which is on my laptop is BQ 24780S TI something "can't clearly see the rest of the numbers" and CQ something "can't clearly see the rest of the numbers" but when i search for the Chip as BQ 24780S , there is BQ 24780S TI 540 C4TR also BQ 24780S TI 561 C4NN and other types. Can i buy any of these two and will it work as long as it is a BQ 24780S ?

Aynı cihaz aynı arıza. İndiktör açık devre olmuş. Ben açık devre olmuş indüktörü sökmeden üzerinden tel ile kısa devre yaptım. Ama görüntü yok. CPU fan çalışıyor. USB çıkışlarında DC 5V var. 1 dakika sonra CPU fan son hızda çalışıyor ama görüntü ve ses yok. Açma tuşuna 5 saniye sürekli basarak kapatıyorum. Arızayı bulamadım.
Hi brother Try resetting the SMC, PRAM and the NVRAM You can find useful information on how to do so on the following website...: www.avg.com/en/signal/reset-mac-pram-nvram-smc By the way the coils or the inductors can not be replaced with a short wire as the inductors are ther to suppress the noise and fluctuations from the switching power supply. You'd better replace the open inductor!!! All the best
If the original backup bin file is corrupted, why are you copying info from that to the rom file, which is clean from the manufacturer? Shouldn't you be removing the excess data from the bin or just using the rom directly to reflash?
I was used my Dell PC over than 12 hours,then can't open it. So I check,same problem,current not flow going through fuse. But,now,where I can buy that fuse?
