Out every week from 7.30pm (UK time) on Monday nights, it's all you need to know about the UK hunting/shooting scene from the publishers of Shooting UK, Shooting Times, Sporting Gun, Airgun Shooter and The Field.
I get what he says about the Tube TP25 SE being at the bottom end of the scale in terms of thermal scope cost, but it's still more than most airgunners would pay (I assume). It is good to know what the alternative is, and this is a great demonstration of what the scope can do, but I think I'd struggle to spend £1,100 when I could buy two Pard/Arken IR scopes for about the same. Great video though. Thanks for taking the time to show a product that most of us won't get to put our hands on - always useful to know what's out there.
I just bean through my first tin of baracuda 8 8.44 guns not one bad pellet in the tin ,I found these perfect for hunting, they are really well made. Perfect in my FX impact MK2 . would recommend
Ugh, will people please stop saying the fake mag on the DRS is a plenum! On the Sub 12, it's not a plenum. It's a solid bit of aluminium that's a blanking plate!! Stop it!
@@reservedone1791 well, I've stripped one! So I do know better and yes, Sportsman Gun centre are lying. Do your research and let me know what you find. I bet you all the money in the world you'll soon be somewhat surprised 😘
Thanks for clarifying that. If you knew anything about airguns you'd realise the pellet clipped the fence because it was rising from the muzzle. Good job on making yourself look like a proper mug.
@@reservedone1791 I was paying close attention from the start as a mate of mine took the passenger side window glass out of his truck shooting at a fox from the drivers seat with a .223, We had a good laugh afterwards, I thought the Gun had exploded at first. Lesson to be learnt, wind the window fully down and make sure the Barrel is past the window.
From memory the rabbit was about 33, 34metres away but the fence was only six or seven. As you could see, unfortunately the pellet clipped the fence as it rose. As I said...lucky rabbit.
@@gavinwilln7571my dad did the same ,he had problems with magpies in his garden, and he said everytime he goes out the back door with the air rifle they fly off ,I said to him shoot from the back of your dining room and they won't see you but test your zero as it's another 10m more ,he stuck a target out where the magpies would land ,and sat very comfy on his favourite chair, set up his tall tripod and fired off a shot ,but it do pay to open the patio door first ,he took out the inner pain of glass ,mother was not too impressed lol
Hi Rich and Matt, Thank you for your very informative video. I liked the cooking section Rich tagged on to the end of his rabbit shooting. I'm not a great cooker either, Rich. Your cooking section has given me some ideas. I especially enjoy those kinds of dishes, come autumn and winter time. The meat we get, whether rabbit, pigeon, or squirrel, is free range and untouched by a supermarket syringe injecting goodness knows what into it. If people can utilise their quarry, I'm sure it'll do them a power of good. You've given me some ideas for my slow cooker. It always reminds me of home, as a youngster, the smell that travels around your home, if it's been on all day. Matt, I like the Reximex pcp air rifle you've profiled. I think it's very reasonably priced, though without hopefully scrimping on quality, and may encourage more people to have a go at airgunning.Thank you again. Best wishes, Ian.
Great stuff. Went to a permission that i have not been able to shoot for couple of years. Massive haul of rabbits. Shot from 8pm to 11pm listening to your guys podcasts on Spotify 😅
I thought I was down to one rabbit remaining in my garden - then the bunnies started appearing out of the hedge last week - 6 in total. Got three the first night and the stoats got some this week, judging by the screams! It’s a never-ending job to keep my hydrangeas alive.
Thanks for the video. The night vision, unit is,very similar to my Pard nv007, effectiveness two batteries. I found mine invaluable when having to eradicate a rat infestation from the bottom of my garden as they were very wary of a lamp. It was money well spent. That fac setvup, certainly has plenty of knock down power. A one shot clean and kill is,the only ethical way to hunt and do pray control. You set a good example.
I’m relatively new to foxing and as much as I like & enjoy all the thermal foxing videos I’d like to see a few more night vision videos thus giving me more tips & tricks.
What has happened to the shooting show? Nothing been put out for months. What is going on. No good for your long time subscribers who loved to watch the shooting show. I noticed that before it disappeared it was becoming shorter with less content. Please come back.
Brilliant video mate ......been out of air gun hunting for a while...so maybe you can give me some advice,.....right,on the lookout for a pcp....and by all means, honest opinions from you and any subscribers.....ok,I owned AA s510 walnut...lovely gun,but I've decided on a tactical, and I know AA do one....brk ranger, pathfinder and concept....airmaks katran,krait....AGT,vixen,uragan,vulcan....epic two(yeah not for two grand lol).....watched loads off reviews......personally ranger, pathfinder and airmaks katran or krait....every time, watched over and over again, really hard to decide.....so if anybody out there has been hunting with these....please give us your good and bad points, thank you everyone👍🏻
I am lucky to have a few HW spring powered rifles, one of which is a 35 blue laminate edition which is imo really nice to look at and lovely to shoot , unfortunately as the years have gone by my permissions have been built over or had changed of use so now i am a air rifle wall flower all kitted out with nowhere to dance , ? Mat if you are going to hold a workshop anytime soon would im sure enjoy the experience, im not to far from you Somerset my home base , stay safe everyone 😊
Hi Anthony, That's a lovely gun. No instruction days in the pipeline just now, but I might be able to line something up. Drop me a line at mat.manning@fieldsportspress.com All the best. Mat
I use a cardboard box with old towels folded up and layered inside. Behind this I have a piece of kitchen worktop as a backstop, though I’ve never had a .22 pellet get more than half way through the towels. After a session you can take the towels out and shake the pellets free, then refold the towels and you’re ready for the next session.
The pellet catcher/target setup I use is the best and quietest I've found so far ...I use a 12" x 12" x 18" cardboard box filled with "rubber mulch" and I stick shoot n c targets on the end of the box and shoot into it length wise. The rubber mulch lasts forever and the only sound is the pellet hitting the paper target and box. My neighbors have no idea that I'm shooting! ✌️
Great video Mat.Lovely shooting and footage. Its great to be out bashing the grey menace.Love my gen 2 sticks.Got a clamp on mine and really does help with stability. Atvb 👏🏻👍🏻👍🏻
Hi Matt, it's always a good watch seeing you or Rich out hunting or doing a review on air guns.. I'm a new shooter, well about a year now, so I'm learning from scratch, from how to breath, how to hold a rifle, how to put on a scope, what ammo to buy, the whole shibang 🤣🤣lol. So I've learned so much from you and Rich...and I do appreciate the time and effort you put into your craft.. so I thank you for that.. catch you on your next video...🤟✌️👍
Hi Wayne. It's hard to call as airguns are at such a high level now. However, I have quite an old Air Arms S400 and a Daystate Mk3 which are both phenomenal. All the best. Mat
