Steve, here. Like many dads, I'm tired. I love pc games and I upgrade my family's pc's when I can. On this channel I'll talk about computer repair, basic troubleshooting, and some pc gaming.
I have had the same 360 controller since 2010 for my PC. It started doing this a while ago and lately it has been unplayable. This worked! Thanks much!
@@thetireddadtech3827 Its funny, I found this video minutes after I finally got my old PS3 controller to work on my PC but the 360 controller just feels better
I've been struggling with getting my controller to work for weeks, thank you so much, I love my limited edition gamestop xbox 360 controller so much and I remember the day I bought it when it first released, Im glad I dont have to replace it!
Another thing that can help that just worked for me after attempting this, is adjusting (pulling upward) the actual battery terminals inside the battery pack so that they apply better pressure on the batteries. Been dickering with this for a while now just never attempted to investigate the fix. You'll need a nice long pair of tweezers or needle nose to get at them, but it just 100% fixed mine. Glad to have these two tricks in the bag!
It kinda worked it dosent disconnect when i shake it lightly but when I acdently hit something it disconnects but thx for the help I can acctually play normaly whitout seeing that my controller is disconnected
Sorry to hear that. the only thing I can recommend is to clean the contacts with a little isopropyl alcohol and a cotton swap. Beyond that, I'm not sure.
The last video I watched to try an fix this problem was by an idiot who said to rub the batteries between your hands. Thank you for a video that works, lol 😆
ive been having issues with my controller pressing buttons for me and sometimes outright disconnecting all at random. I am trying this out right now, be back in like a week or something.
@@thetireddadtech3827 unfortunately i believe it is just a controller issue, it was from a cheap third party after all. that'll teach me not to skimp out on controllers lol.
Very well 👍 done liked.. Qs. Will silicone spray do better than regular grease for lubricating a revolving chair and also for squeaks? Just wanted a quick fix and I have those 2 lying around and not inclined in buying something else. Thanks.
I’n gonna be honest, I did not expect it to work. It would work for 3-5 minutes or even 3-5 seconds and then dead. I’ve been playing for 10 minutes and it works like a charm! Live saver and instant subscriber!
I modded my controllers with new shells and transformer D-Pads but one of them was having sync problems, before modding I had done this trick in the past but totally forgot about it, thank you for reminding me of it, everything working smoothly now.
so nice bro, i have 3 xbox 360 pc controllers and they all did not work and i was about to buy a new one, but guess what, with your genius trick they all work now again! thank you so much i really appreciate it a lot! 🤩🤩🤩
Hey thanks for noticing! It's a Vivo dual monitor stand. The one I have is discontinued. A more recent model might be this one. www.amazon.com/dp/B00DGU92DM
After some googling around, this appears to be a common issue with no real solution. Outside of updating/wiping your Xbox software, updating your router's firmware, or running an ethernet cable, I can't think of much else, my guy.
Great Question! Only once on a Windows Server Running DFS. I had to clear the conflict and deleted files using command line. For a regular Windows OS, maybe run CHKDSK to clear out any old logs that might have bloated over the years? OR, it could be shadow copies that need to be deleted? This site recommends using TreeSizeFree. I've never used it, but it might help you out! Let us know how you make out!
