Hi guys and welcome to my channel. My focus is "Science & Technology" including the tools to make it happen. We are ramping up our SpaceX launch videos with the success of the first Falcon Heavy launch and retrieval from the Kennedy Space Center in Feb, 2018. Expect to see some added from Vandenberg AFB as these become more frequent over the coming months. I also plan to cover interesting and unusual aircraft and a personal passion, road racing.

All of these topics require some fairly specific tools including telephoto lenses, tripods, and camera gear so expect to see a review of some favorites as I get more comfortable with tools I like.

Remember to like and subscribe for the most current updates. Cheers!

It's interesting to hear you explaining it to people who obviously have absolutely no idea what is going on. Did they even come for the launch, or were they just enjoying a nice day at the beach and got lucky?

How is that these booster rockets are sitting there on the pad, white from top to bottom; including the alleged landing struts, yet when they allegedly fall back to earth the bottom third is black, a sharp demarcation from black to white as if painted?

The atmosphere is a violent place. The re-entry burn is to help slow the rocket down as it enters the atmosphere so that it doesn't burn completely up and explode like the shuttle did over Texas. It basically Burns and blows it's way through the atmosphere so that it is not destroyed like meteors get destroyed when hitting the atmosphere.

That's absolutely brilliant, one of the things I'll always remember that I got to see happen in my lifetime. Question, for those of you who got to see it in person - do you know what time of day, Eastern Standard, that the sonic booms occurred on reentry of the boosters? I have a homemade low frequency geophone that logs a graph every day and I'd like to see if it picked up the vibrations from launch and reentry. I get a lot of interference spikes from vehicle traffic so it's like hunting a needle in a haystack.

@ 4:22 "it sounds like a terrorist attack"..."yeah, yeah". :-/ A peculiar perspective..... sounds like sonic booms to me but then I've not experienced too many terrorist attacks fortunately

Lots of goofy comments from excited tourists around us ended up on the soundtrack. Just part of the *color* that happens while shooting video in a large crowd. ;)

Ha ha no doubt and sorry if you misunderstood me, it was not a criticism of footage whatsoever! Truly great vid' and thanks very much for sharing! It was just the mentality / thought process of 'large boom = terrorist attack' that struck me..... :-) Many thanks again for uploading, this technology is just mind blowing!
@Cajundaddydave

No worries. Folks get excited at these events and sometimes odd and unusual comments just squirt out. The crowd reaction is part of the show. :)

Somebody commented on another video that a couple of people he knew, who didn't know what was going on, thought the *launch* was a terrorist attack. It's been seven years or more since we've launched anything this big.

JA YE Literally, the best, and will still be in the future, just sayin, and on second place that would definitely and obviously be the Western and super advanced and innovative countries in EU's, and after them would be the Japanese, Chinese, South Koreans and Russians at the last one among other almost 200* UN-recognized countries,worldwide just sayin '. Creditz! 🇩🇰 🇺🇸

Anti Gravity Yeah, that's pity, but I totally and sincerely it aren't lasted long, I would still have US as the global watch-dog and being the more powerful, most innovative and top of all/and most significant the most global-legitimated and most softpower power-embracing(which they of course extremely and utterly obviously still are) in the not too distant future and in the deep future, rather other ultra-nationalistical, super conservative, super religious, state-controlling, irrational, non-humanrights-embracing, non-analytical and genuinely undemocratical /pseudo-democratical alternatives as the super power potential - great powers as Xi-China and Put In-Russia(even though these two country's economy haven't been what they used to be in this decade, but still high among other great powers, particularly the Xi-dynasty(what I call the modern/current ruled China by Xi Jinping Lol) ) , just sayin '😉💎👍
