This channel is for women over 35 who want to manage their peri-to-post menopause years naturally.
Menopause can be a tricky time but it doesn’t have to be that way. And yes it is totally possible to have a natural menopause! Changes to nutrition and lifestyle together with some specific homeopathic remedies, herbs and supplements can see your menopause go from one of weight gain, low energy, mood swings and a host of random symptoms to a time of great inner peace and wisdom.
My name is Chelsea Green, holistic hormone specialist which actually means I’m a qualified homeopath, functional nutrition coach and women’s hormone and menopause coach. I am also a mum of 2 teenage boys, a business owner and am constantly spinning a lot of plates. I understand the importance of feeling my best and keeping things simple! My aim is to empower you with this knowledge too.
Oh and the accent… I’m an Australian who has lived in the UK for 20+ years.
Ugh I'm 46 and unfortunately have every one of the issues you listed. The leg pain (especially when trying to sleep) and shoulder pain in my right arm are THE WORST and have lowered my quality of life. I'm very active and spend a lot of time working out in our yard. I can no longer do all the things I would like, or if I do, I'm then in so much pain the following days I'm forced to do absolutely nothing while my body tries to recover. I have noticed that the week before I get my period and the week during my period, my body feels GREAT! I have so much less pain and much more energy during this time and sleep SO MUCH BETTER. I'm assuming my hormone levels are higher during that time which is why I feel so much better. I guess it's now the silver lining and I now actually look forward to getting my period, just for the joint pain relief and loads of energy.
menopause has left me knackered the joint pain is the worst and the fatigue. feels a bit like electric shocks in fingers wrist shoulders hurts back of neck arms. Has eased off a bit from legs also got ibs but only since menopause started plantars in both feet does not help either taking magnesium flax seed peppermint tea and ginger
That sounds really uncomfortable. Phytoesrotogen foods might help, as too some focused stretching. There are some good videos here on RU-vid for plantars.
Can low progesterone creates wrinkles? How did you do not to get wrinkles? I notice im getting sudden wrinkles and my progesterone test came very low. Pls advise
It's usually low oestrogen levels that affect the skin. Here's a video on natural skin support that I did: ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-wwRhVWWRqms.html And I have another on increasing collagen here: ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-iIQOnsefalg.html
Hey there! I would be guided by age and what other symptoms you are struggling with but if in any doubt I would recommend speaking to your health care provider.
Eggs Turmeric with some black pepper and fat Extra virgin olive oil in dark glass bottle Broccoli Pomegranate Blueberries Maca - phyto estrogen Flaxseed Animal based protein
I can feel when one is going to start. Within a few seconds my body will become hot and I flush (my body turns very red). Sometimes I sweat. I carry a fan in my purse so I can fan myself when one hits me. That helps a lot.
I’ve been suffering so badly with hip and leg pain. I’ve had a very clean diet for decades, exercise etc. I’m only 46. Interesting what the trauma stored in hips, maybe that’s where I need to focus since my lifestyle is good. Feeling a bit hopeless with how many more years this process will take
There is a difference between menopause with your reproductive organs intact and clinical menopause (where one or all the uterus, ovaries, cervix are removed) i.e. hysterectomy. What care do you recommend to replenish the hormones (estrogen, progesterone and testosterone) for these women and manage the joint pains. 😮
Thank you very much. I’ve come across you today and I’ve already listened to 6 of your videos!! 😊 I’ve got a question. I’m 51 years old and ive been eating lots of veggies for a year now. The problem is how it affects my belly. I’m bloated and gassy. Nearly everyone tells you to eat lots of veggies but nobody addresses the side effects…
I'm so pleased to hear you're binging my videos, that is such a wonderful compliment! The bloating and gassiness comes down to gut health, absorption and digestion. All of which can become problematic in peri-to-post menopause. I have a series on gut health lined up so keep a look out.
I countered a lot of symptoms of perimenapause by taking bone broth, but periods are not regular. How to make them more regular and delay it for more years
I don’t but I am planning a video serious on gut health. And no I don’t have one on tissue salts but it’s a good idea so thank you. It is difficult eating with food intolerances. Focus on healing the gut as a whole. You’ve got this 💚
Personally, I am not a fan. It's inflammatory and causes a lot of hormonal and skin issues. But with all things, we have to take an individualised approach. Some people don't have any issues with dairy. If you are going to have it, always go for organic.
I truly appreciate your input. I am wondering if you could look at Amazing Greens energy blend greens powder and give your thoughts on it. It has maca and flaxseed along with a multitude of other ingredients. I realize fresh is best, however sometimes I do consume this product along with a scoop of collagen powder and mct oil. It's always seemed to give me a long energy source. Thank you !
I am looking forward to those videos. You just described me when you described oestrogen dominant peri menopausal woman :-) and I am going to doctors and they tell me I am healthy as a horse :-) no one will check my hormones or even mention them. Tabu
Thank you! The all over joint pain has ramped up in the past month. It usually ends when I get my period but this time it didn't. It feels worse. I will be getting massage and chiropractic adjustment today. I've been increasing turmeric in the diet and with supplements. I will be using wild yam room and will get black cohosh today. This is not an easy process but I feel, like childbirth, my body can do this process. I just need to find the ways to assist my body with the symptoms so I i can get through everyday life. I have a large garden, I am a massage therapist, and I like to cook. I'm 54 in a couple of weeks so I'm hoping this process will be done within the next year or two. My periods are still regular except a year ago i skipped a month in April and then had two in May. 🎉
Yes! Just like childbirth, your body can do this and is designed to do this. Unfortunately, modern life is not conducive to women's health so we have to do what we can to support ourselves. It sounds like you a doing many wonderful things 💚
Exactly my experience! They told me to take iron tablets and folic acid and offered anti depressants 😢 I refuse to take them because I believe in natural remedies! They also told me I have a thyroid disorder but have still not helped me in any way just left me hanging! Disgusting treatment!
Yes it is. In post-menopause, the hormone should come back into balance, albeit in much smaller amounts. However, that can take some time so there can still be some flux.
Hello I’m in my mid-late 40s and for the past year and a half my periods have been irregular in that they have been coming very late. My holistic OBGYN put me on bioidentical progesterone cream that helped at first. When it didn’t seem to keep me regulated, I stopped taking. A few months later I started taking wild yam root. This recent cycle came after fifty something days. Began light to moderate for a week. Then the past six days has been very heavy. I had stopped the wild yam root when period got heavy for past five days. Not sure if this heavy long duration has anything to do with that or because I stopped the wild yam. Or because of fibroids- any recommendations? This has been way too long now and too heavy. Thank you!
@@chelseagreenholistichormones in 2019 I had a miscarriage ever since then my time has been really irregular. Sometimes I have more than one time in a month I spot in between. I get bad headaches and stuff right before my time that’s like the only indicator that I know for sure it’s coming because I never know when it’s coming. I just turned 40 in September and I went to the female doctor. She said they’ll do an ultrasound but it won’t be till June to see why my time is so heavy and chunky. I just wondering like natural methods to try and get myself back to kind of normal as normal as I can be for me anyway because I also have Hashimotos.
@@delenajewell8171 I am so sorry to hear you had a miscarriage. It is wise to have some investigations but I would also recommend focusing on good gut, liver and bowel health with lots of cruciferous vegetables and pre- and probiotic foods. In this video I talk about foods that might help: ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-Vz_dqWUA8QY.html I hope that helps.
You are lovely thank you for the tips! Ashwaghanda really really has helped me tremendously! It keeps my anxiety in check and just generally calms me down
