Breaux at DT started, and he's a true freshman, for example. Chester is a guy who is having problems, but we remember this two years ago when we had 5 new starters on OL and it took 6 weeks to get it right. Getting Perkins on the outside LB spot also gets Weeks on the field and getting him experience is big time. Guys are watching for Perkins and are going yo get destroyed by a safety blitz, or Saivion Jones and Swinson. Anderson becoming a game changer at WR and Durham providing us with a possible legit leading RB, just opened up the offense even more. Once we get Hilton back, this offense is going to be elite. That SC pass rush is the best pass rush we face all year. The OL will be a brick wall for Nuss going forward.
I think you have proven Chris… you absolutely DO NOT know or understand the pulse of the average Gamecock fan. We are not scared shitless, but keep up your bad takes… Apprehensive, yes but mostly excited to see matchup between great Oline vs our DLine and our offense led by sellers against aggressive DC with good athletes

As another comment - as good as our stats are - we blitz less than almost any team in CFB. We played 4 and sometimes 3 O linemen against UK and we still blew UKs O line away. As for LSU - do they really have a run game ? They lost their starting RB to injury and didn't do squat against Nicholls State on the ground.

Surely nobody thinks Carolina is scared. I don't think people realize just how good Dylan Stewart is. You won't stop him 1 on 1. So you have to double up or try to chip him with your rb. The interior line are all veterans. Superstars? Nope. But solid. And don't forget the other DE. If Sellers improves just a little from last week and rocket gets 100+ yards rushing LSU loses this game. And didn't mention our special teams. It's gonna be a great game.

It will be cool to see them get stronger, faster, and quicker as the season progresses they are definitely elite but until the game this week people will just say they are average and the opponents were subpar bc nobody respects carolina anynore at all.
I went to the game yesterday! And the game was actually pretty frustrating! They couldn’t run the ball against Nichols State! With that offensive line they couldn’t run the ball 🤦♂️ If BK doesn’t get this fixed I’m afraid it’s going to be a long season! Besides that! Death Valley was electric last night with the new lights and sound! All I can say it was bad ass!
I agree and disagree. Everything had its flaws CFP, BCS, AP voter era and all of it. Yeah there is more meaning then but it is coming back to its importance. There are plenty flaws but BCS also had flaws. Like having a AP poll decide a champion and the rankings were always janky. Back then it was all about nostalgia but not necessarily the importance of a top rank matchup. Although the game was different then so it’s unfair to say. Now it’s the opposite. Regular season means a bit less but now the bowl games mean more than last year and beyond. Idk there are flaws to anything and CFB had PLENTY of them and always have, always will. That’s why I love it tho. But all era of CFB is awesome regardless of playoff and regular season menaing
Your correct in every way. Regular season watered down. Conference championships don’t matter. They could’ve just made it 6 team playoff with 2 byes. This 12-team playoff will break records in viewership, but will harm the sport long term. It’s too many teams, especially with only the top 4 or 5 teams have a legitimate chance to win.
This host was great and very humble. As a USC fan, Marc annoys me on how boastfull he is and how he goes on and on in his passive aggressive name dropping the entire team. I want to feel confident about our team, but Mark is too much.
LSU I know I know all the firepower is gone but again Brian Kelly 8-3 against us; 550 YPG last year, 350 of that passing, 79 TDs, allowed only 47; good 3rd down team; not great in the red zone. Still, their strengths are our stand-out weaknesses: we cannot and will not tackle, we give up explosive 30+ yard plays, and we refuse to defend the pass ESPECIALLY over the middle on every snap. I called HC LR about 4 months before it happened; I called Entz a year before it happened; I got every game right last year except the bowl and we are waist deep in kim chee on this one. SP+, FPI, Vegas, and ratings are ALL against us. I would love to be wrong.
what are you smoking bro? what about 2004 auburn undefeated by they picked Oklahoma to go in and they got wiped. the games actually mean less if multiple teams go undefeated it just becomes a beauty contest at that point (example fsu last year)

Wholeheartedly agree. I grew up as a kid watching those Colt McCoy Texas teams. The thrill and anticipation for every single game will never be recreated because the meaning is gone. People need to remember that we did have a playoff before 2014, it was called the regular season. 15 weeks of playoff football leading to the last 2 standing. We traded meaningful August through December football for 3 weeks of playoffs. Simple minds cant comprehend that.
I'm a die hard USC football fan but I still have love for LSU ( " geaux Tigers!") I want my Trojans to won but I also want to see a good hard game. What I don't like is the clown shoes like Paul Finebaum who crap talk and use NON conference games like this to trash programs (they'll dump USC in the toilet of college rankings hypocritically while talking " strength of schedule " BS to justify other teams staying higher in rankings. For LSU? If they lose it'll be an excuse to try and jeep them out of any post season play and they would still try to put a 2 loss Bama or GA up over LSU!
