Roger Delgado was also in Bob Hope and Bing Crosby’s final “Road” film, “The Road to Hong Kong”. There’s a hilarious scene with Roger and Hope on an airplane.
Laughed out loud at the pre-titles bit! 😆 Wish the theme music would be changed back to the previous melody they used (but I know it won't!). Found the intro instantly engaging. Loved Keith in Stig of the Dump, in Murphy's Mob, The Awakening and the Play For Today, Wayne and Albert. I will definitely be purchasing this Myth Makers.
Fun fact! In real life John Pertwee and Roger Delgado were best friends, apparently his premature death in Turkey in a car accident while shooting a film was a major factor in John Pertwee deciding to call it quits playing Dr. Who.
No way is she 51 in this clip. Wendy Richard (Miss Brahms on Are You Being Served and Pauline Fowler on EastEnders) was 65 when her ciggy addiction killed her and looked closer to 85. Jackie Lane lived to the age of 80.
Great work. Neil's my old school teacher. I've been trying to email him for a pint but no luck. Can you tell him that the plunger I gave him is to fit his renagade Dalek. its a polyurethane cast so it's safe and clean, haha.
Saw Roger Delgado in an episode of the Persuaders. He played a card game player but Roger Moores Brett Sinclair won all of the money from him. Another episode that Roger Delgado was in was an episode of Randall and Hobkirk deceased. I think he played a French Hotel manager. Roger Delgado was a fantastic actor on screen and a gentleman off screen. Rest his soul.
Hi Charles. Yes, good idea - I'll do that in future. Everyything is at: www.timetraveltv.com /// but this particular production is: timetraveltv.com/programme/538
It would actually be very interesting to see a "What If?" spinoff of Star Trek where Ceti Alpha VI never exploded, Khan passed away peacefully in his sleep, and Joachim led the Augments in their efforts to continue building their colony on Ceti Alpha V. I wonder if he would adopt a more peaceful stance than his predecessor and mentor, or if he would be more warlike? Personally, I hope for the former, as he did seem to be more reasonable and logical of a man than Khan was.
@@gwenking7700 Actually, that was never confirmed. He was Khan’s protégé and second-in-command, but it is believed that he was actually the son of Joaquin, one of Khan’s followers in “Space Seed.”
"Sensitivly recasting those roles" This is because Doctor Who fans have trouble separating characters and actors. Other franchises don't have this issue, they just cast other people as these fictional characters. They've recast Spock several times, as well as Kirk (and Shatner is still alive). But think how often people say Tom Baker when they are actually talking about the fictional character of the fourth Doctor.
