Interesting technique, very in spirit for the Orks lol As for the video content problem I can understand the viewpoint I'm just starting here too and have a lot to go up against even with 20 years of collecting behind me it's hard to figure out a way to showcase that experience in a meaningful way that may be beneficial to someone. There are of course plenty of other channels with much larger pools of content to go up against but I still enjoy the process of making a finished video even if it turns out to be a weak performer. You've been growing quite well as a new channel so you have something here people enjoy you just need to build on it.
@@stankshop It's np 😀, I wish the best of luck on the journey! I can only hope to have such growth in the future as I struggle to find that something I can bring.
I started with a dry pallet, but now use mostly a wet pallet. For metals and fluorescents I use the dry pallet still. The paints I use the most is Monument Hobbies Pro Acryl (about 85%) and Vallejo (about 10%) with everything else combined filling in the last 5%.
As much as i’d love to see another Guard box, not confident we will see them 2 years in a row, especially when next year they are getting a big update, so my guess is: Space Marines (obviously) Chaos Knights (it’d be nice to see one “big stuff” box) Tau (non Kroot) Aeldar (had some new kits recently) Necrons (popular, and haven’t had anything recently) Tyranids (because relevance) My dream list though (mostly based on what i still want to collect): Guard (trench warfare style list- field guns, basilisk, heavy weapons teams, and new Kriegsmen) Space Marines (knight esque focus- bladeguard, maybe new assault terminators) Necrons (high mobility/mechanized focus- arks, barges, praetorians) Chaos Space Marines (semi-daemonic/monster focus, like posessed and Obliterators) Leagues of Votann (honestly just last year’s box again, it was most of what I want, lol) Tyranids (vanguard focus- lictor, neurolictor, gargoyles, harpy, raveners)
Lov - Ya, I'm not sure what else they would do to make a box, but I'd love to see last years again as well. I'm still kinda kicking myself for not grabbing one (or maybe 2, lol) at the time. Combined with the combat patrol, it's a pretty full and sweet army.
1. Astra Militarim (early release of 2025 models) 2. Aeldari (early release of 2025 models) 3. Space Marines (one new unit Assault Terminators included) 4. Tyranids 5. Chaos Space Marine (Knights would be cool) 6. Necrons 7. Admech
I dont know what it might be but I can tell you I am 99% sure drukhari will not be in the list, reason being that drukhari tend to only get attention once every few years and they got a new kill team/new sculpts this year. I do not expect them to release another drukhari thing until their codex in 2026, also a lot of the christmas boxes are for newer ranges the drukhari range is most from 2010. But my guess will be Space marines, Necrons, Nids, Ad mech, Chaos Demons, Leagues of votann, and the Tau which will be more standard tau units rather then kroot.
I did my forecast in July, some has changed between then and now. 1. Space Marines 2. Aeldari (never Christmas box, no army box, few new releases) 3. Necrons (long time since a Christmas box 2021) 4. Tau (those unsold Kroot need to somewhere + long time no Christmas box 2020) 5. Chaos Knights (to complement the I-Knights Christmas Box 2023) 6. GSC (just a feeling) In my list, there are too few Imperium factions... No Space Wolves (I did not consider special Space Marines - a main ignorance, yes) No Drukhari (too few models in range available) No AdMech (2022+2021 Christmas Box) No Tyranids (2023 Christmas Box)
Space Marines x Adepta Sororitas - Adeptus Custodes - Adeptus Mechanicus -? Astra Militarum -? Agents of the Imperium -? Imperial Knights - Chaos Daemons -? Chaos Knights ? Chaos Space Marines - Death Guard - Thousand Sons - World Eaters - Aeldari x Drukhari - Genestealer Cults ? Leagues of Votann - Necrons x? Orks - T'au Empire x? Tyranids -
Ya, Ad mech were my imperium pick since Sister, Custodes, and Imperial Agents all got battle forces for their Codexes (codi?, what's the plural of this, lol) Guard may be a really good choice, but I thought with them getting one last year the odds are down a bit. Thanks for playing along!
@@stankshop hey, 3 out of 6 on my end.. not bad. Glad to see Tau and Necrons. But another Imperial Knights and not Chaos Knight is super weird. And are those old Combat Patrol Sprues in the Sisters one? :D
Looks great! Love the headless horseman theme, the pumpkin must have taken quite awhile to get right. Would be awesome to see a small Beast Snagga army built around the theme I think it would look awesome!
Cool, look forward to seeing this completed! This reminds me of one of my first tries at Kitbashing...glued some extra gun arms (via pieces of the sprue itself as extra arms) onto the backpack of a Space Marine to make a jank Tech Marine model because I couldn't get the model when it originally released lol
1. Space Marines 2. Chaos Space Marines 3. Tyranids 4. Adeptus Mechanicus 5.Astra Militarum 6.Agents of the Imperium 7.Aeldari So this is mostly based off of their releases from previous years as they always tend to do boxes of the armies they were heavily pushing out new releases for. Agents is kind of a Wild Card pick as I don't know what angle they would take with them given they were usually just support units up until now and are a whole separate thing of their own now lol
@@stankshop Yea def a long shot with the Agents though maybe they will mix them up with Deathwatch or something. I've been around for a few of the past ones and even picked up a few myself...unfortunately I didn't take the note of not developing a massive pile of shame...which has evolved into a tower at this point lol
ALL OF THEM! but honestly, I'm caught up on TUP, Paint Bravely and Poohammer. I also tend to paint while watching other painters stream. I've also listened to The Infiinte and the Devine on audible. I kinda wish that was a series, quite liked it.
@@stankshop Poohammer? Perhaps you mean The Poorhammer Podcast? That's a good one. If not....then.....😱 That's it. I'm getting The Infinite and the Divine. I'm not a Necron guy, but that one keeps making everyone's recommended lists.
Ah, makes good sense, that was my reasoning for not picking aeldari. Also, a lot of the marine releases are army boxes, so matches that pattern. I imagine youll be right
Great picks but i would say as a wolves player, we are not getting a box set this year, or if we do count it being a mostly space marine box. Space wolves have not had a range refresh since about 2016 before primaris so almost 80% of our uniques are first born and considering the track record for each space marine update, i do not think GW will make a box with any first borns in it especially if next year we will be getting a refresh (hopefully)
1. Space Marine box that features the Leviathan sprues in it along with Hellblasters. Why hellblasters? Feels like they haven't been in a bundle in a bit besides D. Angels 2. Necrons box with a lot of their chaff, two of their tripods and the silent king. Necrons are distinctly popular. 3. Tyranids box with Leviathan big boss monster Sprues, zoanthropes, hormagaunts 4. Gloomspite Gitz box with Trugg, 6 rockgut troggoths, Dankhold Troggoth, and Squighoppers (no overlap with likely new sculpts of spiders, stabbas, etc and wolf riders will probably be in the new spearhead) 5. Stormcast box with all of the big dragons because GW is insane sometimes and the dragons actually sell. 6. Aeldar box of all of the sculpts from the last newest update, but none of the ones that are going to be resculpted.
Ultramarine with Primarch Dark Angel with Primarch Space marine box (That has infantry and a tank) Aeldari box (because GW are range refreshing these and they can get rid of old sculpts) Tyranids (with all the stuff you saw from the game) Thousand sons box but no Magnus just one with cultists, Rubrics and terminators etc.
I like it! I think you may be right with some others in the comments on Aeldari. I was back and forth on that one. My only rationale against them, was I think they are due for that range refresh for their Aspects. I figured they may do a refresh army box on their codex release. So I took Drukhari instead. I think they are less likely to get their refresh right away.
@@stankshop always remember GW love getting rid of unpopular models they have loads of. Space Marines on ATV is the biggest example. Guard box with Horsey boys was one I thought of. Another good one could be Demons with a couple of the big old models in the middle then loads of minions round the edge.
As for what I WANT (I would buy all of these at full price today): ORKS! - New Warboss, 5x Nobz, Battlewagon, and 20 new multi-pose Boyz (Brutal) Beakies - Scouts, Jump Pack Assault Intercessors, new Assault Terminators, and a Land Raider Dark Mechanicus - Vashtor, 20x Traitor Guard, 10x new Dark Mech Skitarri Eldar - New Karandras, 10x Striking Scorpions, Wave Serpent, 10X Guardians Imperial Guard - Rogal Dorn, 20x new Krieg Infantry, 5x new Krieg Command Squad, new Krieg Commander ORKS AGAIN! - New Big Mek in Mega Armor, 5x new Nobz in Mega Armor, 5x Storm Boyz, 10X Kommandos, 3x Deffkoptaz (Kunnin)
LOL! So one of my next videos was to make a dream battleforce. You jumped the gun on me here, but I love it! Stay tuned for my picks coming soon :) (I'd only planned on doing one though, I may need to extend that idea if you don't mind me pulling from this :)
Oooh, fun idea! There's usually 6, so I'm going to stick with that. Space Marines (duh) - Generic, predict Scouts included Tyranids (also duh) - Gonna have bugs Chaos Space Marines/Cultists - Chaos Undivided Dark Angels - They got an army box and a CP, but haven't been in a holiday box in years, plus Blood Angels just got a ton. It might have the Lion in it. Aeldari - It's just been a long time for them. Falcon or Wave Serpent, Banshees Ad Mech - They are so pricey they just have to have a box to sucker people into the army.
I like it, think you're playing some good odds. Aeldari really may be the better pick over Drukhari. Not needing the bonus guess, I like that confidence :)
Thanks! Me too! Id guessed a few right last year as i tend to hold off buying around this time just in case the pacakged everything i want in a nice little bundle :)
Good predictions. Love seeing content like this on my recommended. Myself and my friends love to speculate about these boxes. Personally we are hoping for Chaos Knights!
Solid prediction and explanation, looking forward to see the outcome ^^ Personally, I would agree with Space Marines and Tyranids, since they are the main focus in this edition, and due to the SM2 game. Necrons I really hope for... They are my second painted army. After that, it really get´s difficult. With all the rumors about plastic Krieg soldiers, if they are true, a Krieg holiday battleforce would be a good timing. Let´s wait and see.
1. Space Marines 2. Space Marines with wings 3. Space Marines with capes and robes 4. Space Marines with dogs 5. Space Marines with bigger beaks 6. Steve's Scuba Space Marines
Thank you! Ya, I've usually got 3+ hours until my S.O. gets home. After falling on my bike last year, I needed to find something that would fill that void and was less likely to result in injury. Tried a couple other things as well, but this stuck.
I'm hoping to have another good chunk to show for year 2. Currently, I'm a fair bit behind my pace from last year, but hoping a few concentrated weeks/months will put me back on track!
