So why was Salt Lake City, already inhabited, by so many non Mormon people at that time? Enough to elect a liberal mayor? Ok, they did, and then put up a Megalithic, Bavarian castle, complete with amazing old world imagery of Gargoyles, griffins, wolves, and other bizarre creatures with claws and fangs, all over it. That sounds like compromise, for a politically divided, and very religious city to do. Look at the construction as well. It is a brick boned structure, clad in solid stone block. You can't conceive, of a more difficult, and time consuming form of construction. So how how did they throw this up, without power? In 4 YEARS?
Great, here we go with the roll out of "equity'. You hire those who perform best...period!!! Do you think someone cares if you're black, white, or asian when coming to their aid in an emergency?! NO! People want competent people to come to their rescue. I just took the online questionnaire with SLCFD for the candidacy and, man, was it a bunch of Marxist crap.
Where is the $200,000 coming from? Is this just a way for the government to give taxpayer money to selective bike shops? My immediate thoughts are that there has to be some conflicts of interest going on here. On a side note, the dude in purple in the back is super unchill.
That song "Salt Lake City" was hard to find, until _streaming_ music started a few years ago. It wasn't available on iTunes, Amazon Music, Google Music, or "complete" collection CD packs that'd have even practice audio. 🤷 I only knew about it because my dad had a rarer Beach Boys CD titled Spirit Of America.
It's been around for a long time on their 1965 "Summer Days" vinyl album and CD. Used & new music (records, CD's, and cassette tapes) stores are your best bet.
It was the beautiful Centre Theater at 299 S. State Street (sadly long gone) where I saw "Mary Poppins", my first movie, in 1964. So nice to be remembered by my home town! Thank you!
It "happened" because of an egomaniac POS cop who thinks he's "the boss" in every encounter... Glad he got fired. His moronic lieutenant should have also been fired.
Far more disturbing than the officer who made the arrest, was the more senior officer, who lied through his teeth, in an attempt to manipulate and pervert the course of justice.. Both should have been fired immediately

I ended up on a dark road at night driving back to grad school from my mom's. My car wiper blades started coming off. I pulled over in the rain to look at them. It was in a small town in NC. I had called my mom first but had hung up when two cops pulled over, got out and procceded to threaten and harass me. I'm a white female so it wasn't racial but it likely was because I was a woman. I told them what the issue was but they seemed to think I had pulled over to hook up with my drug dealer. I told them I was heading back to school from my mom's when my wiper blades began coming off with the heavy rain but it didn't matter, they knew they could say and do whatever they wanted. They never offered to help me at all. I called my mom and told her and she said to get in my car and get the hell out of that town and away from them because they very well could have done whatever they liked and lied. Most cops are criminals being paid to intimidate the public.
Why ain't you guys doing your job stopping them protesting at the University all them people come from other countries they should all respects here in United States and you guys ain't doing nothing about it it's just like 2021 when they are protesting when the pandemic was here they were all burning painting burning all the cop cars are you kidding me do your job right and maybe maybe this country will be in the right cuz people like you guys you guys don't fix something in your home or whatever next fixing nothing will get fixed come on
It's absolutely shocking to me that this press conference wasn't "These officers were twats, they are gone and police aren't allowed near the patients anymore" Coulda saved a ton of time/money.
