Welcome to my channel. I'm not looking to get famous these videos are for me to look back on to see all the trips Ive had and how Ive progressed with my riding, you may find them boring
We're planning to head over to Choppers this week as not been there before and the menu looks great! What are the chances that when i search Choppers on RU-vid the video is from Basingstoke too ☠️ hope we get as nice a day as you lot had. Cheers 🏍️🏍️🏍️
@@MotoSoulTherapy tell me about it! Off to Loomies this arvo so hopefully be a couple or three down there. Have you been over to the Crown at King's Somborne on a wednesday? That's a goodun.
@@deepspace_motorcycle yeah we have been a couple of time to the crown and sat out the back in the pergolas . Were off to lockeys farm today. They have bike nights on Tuesdays but its a shorter ride for us today as the weathers not looking promising again
@@MotoSoulTherapy i haven't been to the Lockeys one; will have to check it out. I'd like to do the Anton Arms one on a Thursday, but week days can be tricky
hopefully their better than the ones i put on, the bike felt horrible once the rear was lowered, make sure to lower the front a little if you have bought lower rear shocks
I had them fitted. I would recomend new gaskets if your replacing the exhaust as the new metal might be a different shape or diameter to the old and create an air gap, they should be no more than £30. I would re use the gaskets if i was removing and re fitting the same exhaust though.
Beautiful but the roads trip me out. If you are from the U.S. these are like bicycle paths. Everyone cracks on sportsters but I put superglide shocks on my 76 model and it suddenly rode like a big twin.
The roads are rubbish in UK full of potholes. im used to the width as ive never rode on anything different. I might swap the suspension at some point. I had burly slammers on it for 1 day for the looks but i just couldnt keep them on as it was horible to ride so i might go the other way and upgrade for comfort.
Yeah ive just swapped out my bobber solo seat for the original as i want to do more miles on the harley but the solo seat kills my tailbone. Working progress ill figure it out eventually. Ride safe 👊
I feel for you. riding that Harley sportster. Non of my riding buddies that had one, did not hang on to that bike for long. Most of them upgraded to a metric bike or a BMW . With those loud pipes, I am not surprised they made you bring up the rear.
I choose to go at the back as the tail gunner of our group but i agree i would soon be asked to go back there when the others got a face full of my exhaust lol im thinking about getting an idian scout bobber next but im on the fence. I want something comfy for longer distances but its my trike im trading in not the harley.
yeah Vance and Hines short shots on the Vtwin 1200cc stage 1 tuned with screaming eagle filter, the motorway sound is edited due to wind noise but the start of the journey, garage and filtering is raw sound from the camera. their loud but not ridiculous
With a 15t front i had a 48 rear it was ok but i would try a 42 rear. The acceleration was great on the 48 but reved a bit high at 70 so the 42 rear i think would be best for deacent acceleration and reasonable top end
Thanks for the great video. It was a great ride out, and the weather was superb. Very impressed by the Trikes. It bought it all back to me. Thanks again.
I dont have links but the idecators are heinz winglet micro lights if you google them you should find them. I think amazon will also bring similar ones up.
Yeah there white now the protective coating is off them 🤪 watch to the end of the video when i do the walk round you will see them magically change colour to white
Great work bro, lovely 48! Couple of questions. What shocks did you settle for and were you happy with them? And, what make were those brown boots you had on near the start lol! Cool
Thanks. I ended up sticking to stock suspension as its not that bad on a 48, i think the iron suspension is bad but the 48 is good enough for me. The boots are alpinestars j-6 their waterproof trainer boots casual with just enough protection
@@johnstilljohn3181 ok speak to mike from loddon vale trf i think he was the ride leader i forget his surname but i tgink there only is 1 mike. I couldnt tell you what lanes we went on but we started in reading.
Love the bike and the sound. I have a ‘22 Forty Eight and I am looking forward to putting that exhaust on this summer. I personally find it easiest to hit neutral while rolling as opposed to stopped but maybe that is just me. I enjoyed the video man, stay safe.
Yeah exactly that. Finding neutral while moving is so much easier but i find it ok now anyway, i was just too used to my prevous bike where you had to say a prayer to find it lol
Dont dream, make it happen. I always thought it was someone else that does it, im not that guy, maybe one day then i decided its finally my time to just do it and ive not looked back. Hope you get your dream soon.
@@MotoSoulTherapy Thanx dude 🙏🏻 Circumstances regarding job versus studying again keeps me from buying a 48 right now. Eventually I will. Awesome bike there. Such a beauty.
it was a good looking bike from the dealer, only 23 miles on the clock, I prefer how it looks now though its had several mods done since and a couple odd bit since my last video
Really nice mate, got one myself with short shots after market wheels from custom cruisers and a few other bits and pieces, I think I'm going to chop the back down like yours cos I think it's just looks so cool like that. Thanks for sharing.
Cheers i love the look of mine, just be aware the chop i have on mine is on the rear suspension meaning you cant have a sissy bar. If you chop it to the next bolt after the suspension you can still have a sissy bar and more rear fender options. And dont shorten the suspension as the ride is crap. Use lowering bracket for the rear and slide the forks down slightly in the tripple clamps to lower the front. My steering went to shit after lowering mine
Actually no i will be gutted if i ever need to sell this bike, i'm perfectly happy with my custom 48 bobber, im sure there are a million bikes that a million other people would say is better but i dont care because im not thoes people im me and i love my custom Harley sportster 48 bobber. Btw what bike do you have? Looking at your account very quickly you dont look old enough to have a bike so how can you be sorry for me, surely any bike is better than no bike? I could be wrong about how old you are like i said it was a quick look at your account i will happily accept im wrong about your age, just the impression i got from your content.
