I’m loving that stencil, so many different designs within a 6x6. I’m much more of an ink user, but I do have a about 40 tombow markers from my scrapbooking days. I have found that if you store them horizontally in a airtight container they will last you for years. Some of mine are over 10 years old. I hadn’t ever thought of using a sponge or brush to apply them through a stencil. Thanks for the lesson!
I love Mary Beth’s Stencil School, and as one of your subscribers, I really enjoyed your video. I always get great ideas on how I can use my stencils in a new way-new for me anyway.
I love the way that you work and the outcomes were amazing. My only question is do you ever have trouble with warping or do you spread a coat of gesso first? So lovely, thanks!
@@madelineruehlicke2186 I didn’t use gesso on these, but do for other cards. These seemed to lay flat ok- but if I do have cards that warp, I will put under something heavy overnight before I send. 😉
Would you consider doing a comparison of some of the major new stencil tools like Stencil 360, Altenew Stamp Wheel, the Stencil Builder, Sizzix Stamp and Stencil, etc?
Thank you for this great demo! It looks like you're using original ephemera (as opposed to digital prints). Is that the case? Or perhaps a combination of both?
I only ever think of using inks with stencils. This has been an eye opener for me. Also, the variety of tools I can use is a surprise. Thank you for educating us.
thank you!! I'll either finish the cards into final pieces of art or use them as a tip-in for my art journals. sometimes I use the final pieces for greeting cards, small framed art, shelf sitters, etc...
I really enjoy witnessing you create. You’re obviously enjoying yourself and are so open to unexpected possibilities. I have learned so much from your videos. I have a nice varied collection of Stencil Girl stencils and others, and you have made me feel much more confident and bolder in varying my use of them. Thank you!
You are always such an inspiration Judy. Whenever I see you work I'm always so inspired I want to immediately get out all my art stuff for the rest of the day 💜🤍💚
