Omega Universetas is a Reference to the Weltal from Xenogears the main character Fei's Mech. Xenosaga is a lil weird being both a Prequel to Xenogears as well as a Alttimeline/Dimension. Personally I think Xenosaga takes place during Episode 1 of Xenogears Omega Universetas probably had a limited production unit and several were more then likely on the Eldritch at the time when it crashed in Xenogears. Given tens of thousands of years happens between saga and gears it makes sense the original name was lost to time. Also you can fight Omega Universetas again and it'll become Omega ID, again another Xenogears References. as when Fei enter "Rage mode" His evil personality ID takes over and transforms the Welltal into Welltal ID, and yeah it EARNS that Superboss status cause even in Gears he is TERRFYINGLY strong. Other Xenogears references incluce: Abel in Saga is Abel/Fei from Gears, My Headcanon is because Abel came into contact with The Wave Existance/U-DO U-DO made a copy of Abels body as a Vessel to Observe the lower number domain during the events of Saga. Given that U-Do is a upper dimensional being time maybe meaningless to it, the past present and future, which may ALSO explain how everyone is in "The Past" And Nephiliam is Ely from Gears, Again Headcanon because Neph came into contact with U-Do in both domains and due to Gears Abel wanting a Mother U-Do used the Kadomony to create Ely the Antytype all be it a Adult form, U-DO may have also used info on Shion and Kosmos as well in assisting creating Ely as Neph was a little girl I dont think U-DO would know what Neph would look like as a Adult. Miktim was the Planet that the Zohar was Rediscovered on Lost Jeruliem was still Earth Omega COULD BE Deus or at least a Prototype of Deus BTW yes as a Kid I didnt know the Xenogear References in Saga But after playing it and Replaying it as a Adult it Exploded my Mind in all the right ways.
Dood I 1000000% did the same thing, got up to that boss fight TWICE and said "Screw this game" Xenosaga 2 was already a slog to get through then they throw this fight at ya
@lionheart1013 lol. Im glad im not the only one who gave up here. I started a lets play of xenosaga 2 on my gaming channel where i promised i would actually finish it...but then i had a kid and a new job and things got buisy
@@LoadingGears For me She was both too difficult, the dungeon was lengthy and annoying, and Xenosaga 2 just felt "Off" Playing it in terms of the combat, the charatcers ect, then I learned that I should have been combing over looking for sidequests to get my characters gewd and such which is KINDA HARD to do when the JRPG is perpelling you forward at breakneck speeds. I was STRUGGLING to keep playing it as anytime I was playing it my mind just kept going "I could be playing a better RPG" Funny enough when I got Xenosaga 3 and saw the recap I was like "Soo I didnt miss too much??" granted the recap DIDNT cover "Missing Year"
Peace walker was the first psp i ever played and it was so good that everything else i played didn't even come close to being as good as it, I'm glad i can still play it on my series X thru backwards compatibility.
X the legend, who fought wars against his own kind to save humanity from their doom uncountable times , the biggest hero , the legend , not his weak immature copy .
Thank you for making these recaps. Until recently I was completely unaware of the Pied Piper story and I'm really glad they expanded on Voyager amongst other characters.
Funny you say that bc the big BOOM that constantly happens is labeled as "gunfire" in the program inused xD. Just couldnt find something better sounding in musescore. I need a better program
Fun fact: in the (Castilian) Spanish dub of Terminator 2 Arnold actually says "sayonara baby" instead of "hasta la vista, baby" 😂So the reference caught me completely off guard
To be honest, I am glad that I didn't get a chance to finish this game but I am happy that I get to know. It has a really good and happy and sad ending at it. Because the song at the end, really brings me into tears. And remind me that there's peace in this world.
I've always loved how Jecht's becoming more mature does, in fact, perpetuate the cycle. It was Tidus immaturity (wanting it all, as Wakka says) what makes a difference.
It's four years later, and I want you to know that people are still making use of these videos. Thank you for your work. I'm going to get through Episode I again - for the first time since the early 2000s - and then probably watch the rest of these videos to understand what I even watched while playing the game. EDIT: I don't know that there's a way for me to actually play this game again short of buying a work PS2, so I guess I'll be watching RU-vid videos of the cutscenes.
It's such a pity they created such rich backstories and lore only to hide them behind a mountain of text. It had to be a better way to integrate it all ingame. PD: I refer to the general lore, not Pied Piper especifically.
Indeed. Technically pied piper was a game but it was one for phones i think.....phone games in 2003? Yea....needless to say it didnt go very far. Infact, im pretty sure it didnt keave japan and now its all but lost to history
