In terms of approach, this could be Al at Bunjies or Les Cousins, albeit that the songs span his entire career. Many thanks for taking the time to compile this excellent "gig".

Always underrated and such a talented musician and story teller. I have followed Al since his first album and Roads to Moscow should be the starting point of discussion in schools about the history surrounding it.

I can almost feel transported back through history to the Spanish Civil War. The words and the music are the vehicle that bring you there. Stewart is a master story teller. He weaves his magic through his guitar like a magician does with their wand. I'm viewing the coming of the War like a voyeur peering through the mists of time, into the hearts and minds of those who are waiting on the border! Do any of you agree with me? And damn doesn't Peter White's guitar virtuosity make you want to toss your guitar into the water where their smuggling guns and arms?

Lots of music from just 2 guitars and 1 voice. Sounds like a full band and chorus.

Al Stewart is with me since 1985, I am 57 now. Saw him 1990 on his Last day of the century tour, what a great concert. These songs are unknown to me, thanks so much...

Do you remember when we could drive over the Kyber Pass in our automobile with no worries. We could drive the CAN-AM HIGHWAY from Yukon down to the tip of South America. We were welcomed every where in the world, we were safe, stay with the locals. Now we and they are so afraid. Build that wall, it will make us safe, just hide children, we will stay indoors, no one can find us hidden behind this wall. In these years of fear.

Que artista más completo es Al. Solo había escuchado dos canciones suyas..Me llama la atención los japoneses no aplauden ? No bailan ? No gritan? Que raro es como si estuviesen tocando en un estudio sin público . Los japoneses deberían relajarse más 😅. Julio 2024, Lima Perú.
