The fishery industry in Japan has been facing difficulties because of overfishing, and also because of climate change (fishes have been shrinking, for example) 🎣
When booking on our website, you can choose this option when you exchange your ticket at the JR Machine in stations! 😊 To find out more on this topic, you can read our article: www.japan-rail-pass.com/plan-your-trip/travel-by-train/shinkansen/new-luggage-reservation-rules-for-the-shinkansen
You can bring your bike yes, but you have to check with your airline company to know how it works. You don't have to register it if you come temporarily, but it's always good to have a sort of proof that your bike was bought abroad. However, we do not recommend bringing your own bike because it takes up a lot of space and you would have to bring it in trains etc., so we recommend renting one when you feel like biking 😊
What a fantastic video. Thank you so much for making this. I am writing a sci-fi book set in 2070 Tokyo and my protagonist meets her love interest in this bookstore.
Hi! It depends on what you've planned for your trip and whether or not you want to avoid stopping at toll gates. It's very convenient so we recommend it, but you should also compare the price of the card to the trip you've planned to see if it's advantageous or not 😊
Since October 2023, you can no longer buy your JR Pass in stations. But before that, buying your JRP online could save you time, because when you bought it in stations you had to queue longer and fill in more information on site 🙂
@@japan.experience hm, okay. thanks for that. does the general jr pass cover trains from okayama to kochi? I've seen maps which seem to contradict one another.
@@japan.experience ok thanks again. one last question, to use the rail pass can I simply board any JR eligible train and use them as I wish or do I still need to make a reservation?
@@jamesnesran2348 you don't need to book seats for local trains and most of the shinkansen (they have unreserved seat cars) but for some special trains you have to book tickets and seats before boarding. You can look it up when you know what train you are going to take for your trip 😊 you can read our FAQ to learn more about the JRP: www.japan-rail-pass.com/frequently-asked-questions
We're glad it was helpful! You don't have to worry about the routes you talked about, it works exactly the same! The system overall is the same at every station 😊
This workshop takes place in a shrine in Shinjuku, Tokyo! to learn more about it or even book your place, you can visit our website 😊✨ www.japan-experience.com/activities/tokyo/traditional-music-koto-and-shakuhachi
@@ciroc_lobster4052 Yes, and fresh water is constantly running through these pipes and no one else will touch the noodles you pick, so you don't have to worry!
@@ciroc_lobster4052 I'm just going to copy my own comment since lots of people are curious about the sanity. As you can see, there are three lanes for the noodles to come out from and each group gets an assigned lane, so there's no contamination with the three groups eating. The group closest to where the noodles come out are given the lane that is the closest to them, the people next to them are given the middle lane, and the last group is given the far most lane. This way, there's no contamination when people bring the noodles from the far most lane because the people who eat from that lane are the last people in each group. After this group is done eating, since the water is constantly flowing, whatever saliva that may have got into the lanes are long gone. Hope this helps!

I will be a 1st time traveler to Tokyo with my daughter. Do you recommend this area to stay in? If not, which area is best? We like shopping, cafes, and traditional experiences. Be safe!
We definitely recommend this area to stay in! You have many things to do in Ikebukuro and it's also well linked by transportation, so no worries! It's a good choice 😉
I was in Japan in the beginning of this month I was able to buy two Sakuhachi flutes in a bambú shop near Kioto, local people told me they are hard to find I have progressed rapidly on the Sakuhachi as far as been able to play the different octaves on it, I have played the Andean Kena for many years and they both have A notched mouth pice, this was to my advantage but I have a long way in understanding The Traditional Japanese Melodies. I wish I knew about you program before My trip to Japan. Regards Nico.😊
Dear Hassan, whether the JR Pass is worth it or not depends on your itinerary and the way you want to travel. As explained in the video, if you only plan to travel to a few places like Osaka or Kyoto from Tokyo, individual train tickets are the best option. However, if you decide to travel a lot of long distances, want to take a lot of trains, and if you want more flexibility, the JR Pass is better! I hope this helps 😊
Hi Iggy, it depends on your situation, but for adults the entry ticket costs ¥2200 if you buy it online and ¥2500 if you buy it on site! You can check all the tickets prices on the official website of Shibuya Sky 😊
Hi, to reserve your seats with a JR Pass you can to go to any JR Ticket office in any train station (with your JR Pass) or to the Shinkansen ticket machines. To book seats online, you can go on the JR East Train Reservation Service (Ekinet) website and check if the train you want to take is eligible for online seat reservation. I hope this helps 😊
