Hi, thanks for the video. I just bought my jdm vehicle and waiting until it will be shipped from Japan to Canada. What shop would you recommend to do the out-of-province inspection? Thank you
Hi Ali! Just purchased your material list and sketch up. Such a great idea I had to try and recreate. I'm building out my custom material list on 8020 and was wondering if you thought about doing a more in-depth video comparing the material list to the build itself. Thanks!
Thanks for the tutorial mate! The use of centimetres in one of your previous Delica videos and the the term “boot” in this one makes me think you’re an Australian with a funny accent! 😉 I’m beginning to plan a van build, and probably an imported Delica from Japan, so thanks for the insights. 👍
How do you like this monitor after 2 years? Ive been playing with getting an ultrawide USB-C vs. TB3 monitor for a while now. Really want to do TB3, but for $500-600 more than USB-C it just seems far too expensive just for the connectivity. Does USB-C suffice or do you think it would be worth getting TB3? This monitor is currently $550, so trying to figure out the best option for price.
I linked to the full parts list and the SketchUp file (for purchase, to be transparent) in this post: alihaghani.me/blog/slide-out-aluminum-campervan-bed-design/
This does not look like a safe design. If you are in a rear impact collision the aluminum beams will become spears going through the seat. To solve this there needs to be a break halfway.
I was browsing your channel. It is remarkable to see you kept your videos from the beginning. I kinda watched you grow old. Especially your voice from child to adulthood. Nice 👍
Great job, I would definitely secure the two other legs to the floor. If the van should roll, that bed could be extremely dangerous. Good luck and enjoy your Delica.
Very cool! I've never seen a video of the interior of that generation of Delica. I'm on the hunt for a 2012 or so (and live in Japan), but my mind was blown when you showed the skylights opening up and it made me consider this generation too, as later models don't have that! Same with the center row rotating seats!
