Great review. One question. Does the USB-C port allows the disable/enable charging option when a device is plugged in? Or is the device (MBP, iPad Pro, etc) automatically charge at all times when plugged into the USB-C port?
How do you like this monitor after 2 years? Ive been playing with getting an ultrawide USB-C vs. TB3 monitor for a while now. Really want to do TB3, but for $500-600 more than USB-C it just seems far too expensive just for the connectivity. Does USB-C suffice or do you think it would be worth getting TB3? This monitor is currently $550, so trying to figure out the best option for price.
0:48 Thank you for showing the removal of the protection tape. Gave a thumbs up :-) I just wonder: How glossy are the border-tops after removing? This is very important for my purchase, so thank you in advance 👍
Hey -- loved the review! I'm also WFH at my internship at a company, but the macbook pro they gave me is just too small to code with ):. Just out of curiosity, what webcam and speakers do you use?
Great video! Looking to get this monitor to be more productive with my coding. Is the text very crisp and easy to read, or is it slightly blurry like most monitors/ need to be scaled?
Great review! I just got this monitor today as well and I was able to connect my 13 inch MacBook Pro 2016 via the USB C cable. However, I powered down the monitor and upon turning it back on, I was never able to get the display to come back. I’ve been using HDMI since but was wondering if you may have ran into this issue at one point? Please let me know if you came across a quick fix to this issue. Thanks in advance!
Hi, do you think I can use a usb hub in one of the usb A ports of the monitor? like a small one (4 ports) just to connect the rest of my peripherals and just have my Mac with one cable plugged in.
I am looking for a monitor for my web programming. Can you suggest which one would be better LG 34WN80C-B 34" vs LG 34UC88-B www.lg.com/us/monitors/lg-34UC88-B-ultrawide-monitor (I dont do gaming or photo/video editing). Thanks. Price is not an issue..
how did charging work for you, I see it's a 65w charging, I have a 16"Mac Pro, the wall charger comes with it has 95w, somehow worried about 65w charging ability
It’s been working fine with my 13” and 15” MacBook Pros. It’s probably charging a bit slower as the adapter that I usually use is 87W but I haven’t been noticing the difference.
I don't know which monitor to buy! This one or LG 34WL85C-B with speaker but without usb-c. I want it to work with my macbook pro! If the computer is always connected to the usb port, the battery of your Mac is not damaging? thank u
If the only difference is speaker vs usb-c then go with this one. Speaker is easy go add. USB-C that delivers power, video and audio is not so easy on the other hand.
