From IAH to LHR for May 2025, the current price is about $8400. So he's not that far off. But for $4700 round trip, we can fly a united Polaris on the same route and non stop just as on BA. United Polaris seats all face forward and are in a 1 2 1 configuration.
I know this beast of a machine is taking a while to be put into service, but I’m really excited for the 777X. My expectations are very high now and I’m hoping that it does well for the general public and Boeing in general. Boeing has been getting shafted a lot in recent years and people and airlines have mostly given a ton of crap for Boeing and that their planes are basically crap too which most of that argument is true, the whole 737 MAX 9 door situation and all that shows, but those are just mistakes that can happen sometimes in manufacturing not just planes but anything manufactured and/or made; So I’m hoping that this beautiful, giant beast can win back some of the trust that Boeing is REALLY trying to actually strive for, because nowadays it looks like mostly everyone is now looking towards Airbus to manufacture and maintain their fleet of planes for airlines. I don’t despise Airbus, I love both Airbus and Boeing equally and I think Airbus themselves are changing and showing that the sky is limitless and they are great airplane makers too, but I really think people and airliners should also respect and consider Boeing being a manufacturer and a airplane maker too, sure they have shown to not have the same amount of quality that they had back then, but that doesn’t mean they’re completely useless and dangerous, even Airbus has had its mishaps, probably not as much as Boeing in the long run, but not even Airbus is a perfect manufacturer. In conclusion, I’m really hoping that the 777X program succeeds and finally beings real service in I’m guessing in the next 3-5 years, and show that Boeing is a company that should be given the praise, respect, and recognition that is similar to what Airbus as been given. 777X forever ✈️🫡 (ps: I know this is like 4 paragraphs long, so if you don’t feel like reading my constant yapping, then don’t bother. 😊)
Great review Coby! One question though…the seats do NOT look like they are lie flat. Could you tell us as bit more about sleeping in different positions on the angled bed? Thanks
The world’s best engine sound is the Vulcan XH558. Passenger aircraft is the GE90. Can’t ever get over the rumble during startup and the whaling sound. Can’t forget about the GEnX as well.
don't know why people even hate on this plane so much it's my favorite plane and any issues that it has they should remember it's still in testing and they will fix it
I love the retro 1950s cockpit. Those big driving sticks and cable stuff. It’s amazing what you can do with such an old dead end design. Add a few gimmicks and passengers will be amazed. NOT.
As always airlines are going to cram all the passengers, great tech on board, how about us? Nothing on passengers, we are still going to pay for those new tech.
