I have all the respect for Kev Adams the Master and his wicked designs, but these are probably my favourite goblin minis. Thanks to Tolkien and Dwarf Fortress, I consider goblins to be like twisted elves rather than the typical folklore design.
Years later and Mark Latham should be ashamed of having his name on this game. Kickstarter remains unfulfilled with not much to indicate they spent the money on even trying to produce the game. Used kickstarter to get $75 off of backers and then another 25 off gamesfound, but added an extra .50 cent charge so you can't actually complete the purchase of the pledge (can't pay any amount under $1) to be eligible for a refund. And oh hey they are selling the pdf without even giving the pdf to their backers while flooding the reviews with fake accounts to coverup how blatantly generic and boring the game is. If anyone is seeing this years later steer clear of this game and Blacklist games.
Deputy Chief Holden that a nod back to the original novel, as sure Dave Holden was the original Blade Runner Deckard replaced when he got shot asking about someones mother.
I really like these guys. To me at least, they are not instantly recognizable as City States units but then you realize it's their technology taken to the extreme and it makes perfect sense. It brings the theme of transhumanism to the CS lore. In addition to the ones here, I'd like a model of an inquisitor just standing there, with its cape covering the inhuman bits, it would still be unsettling next to a regular human just because of its size. As an aside, do you have any plans to brings more lore talks with Konstantinos? I really liked and miss them.
I bought the Painting war Wild West and American Civil War books for my Dead Mans Hand minis and they are a massive game changer. I will say there can are some minor errors in translation and a paint can be labelled incorrectly but with the number system alongside the name you can figure it out easily. Small mistakes but for what you're getting out of it, its not an issue. I highly recommend these books
@BecauseOfDragons glad to see it make a let's play. I ran a learn to play at a local game day. Goal was to get all 4 scenarios from Osgiliath in 4 hours (primarily miniature game day, 4 hour block with hour breaks). Made it through the first 3. May have been better to start like you did with scenario 2 instead if 1.
Wait! Fortune and Glory tokens aren't plastic anymore? They are just cardboard??? Ok, that's final. No revised edition for me. Give me the old one even if it's used.
@michaelkoznarsky7911 0 seconds ago Given the need for significant revisions of SAGA V2 and ALL of the ‘universe’ books over a series of years, I'm going to hold off getting the rules for a while.
First time watching this and by far one of the better reviews done as a collective of all genres of minis than any other you tubers , will certainly be looking out for more content, thank you.
This box is what I have been waiting for - an amazing time for armour and war gear, with beautiful sculpts, lots of variety, in menacing stances. This makes Barons War a more affordable option.
You guys are naerds. The Franco-Prussian War (especially this skirmish version) is affordable if done in 15mm, 10mm or 6mm. I recommend Baccus 6mm. A pack of 96 figures with 4 command strips (16 figures) is nine Pounds Sterling. You can add some skirmishers for other poses as a pack of 48 for 4.39 Pounds Sterling. One could easily make an entire FPW skirmish force with the rules for under the price of that big starter kit that is 100 pounds.
Eagles of Empire is easily one the best wargames rulesets out there, easy to learn but hard to master! Weve had games escalate from skirmishes to pitched battles! Sorens miniatures are excellent aswell, would recommend anyone to give it a go!
Lots of goodness this week - love the retrofuture look of Delta Station and the junk mechs for Full Spectrum Dominance. The Night Watch is my favorite painting from that era and 1898’s musketeers look the part.
