It doesn't make sense that evil, gloom, and the chasms, as products of these two things, would exist and spread throughout The Depths before Rauru sealed Ganondorf there. The Zonai civilization, as well as the Gorons and other races, wouldn't have been able to thrive and utilize the resources of The Depths if that were the case. Also, the book itself states that the Zonai gradually abandoned The Depths as their civilization progressed to the surface and the skies. The chasms were merely natural connections between the land and the depths, and the Zonai closed them, then in TOTK Ganondorf's corruption use them as routes to escape into the surface. (master works page 435). BOTW and TOTK are not connected at all with the classic Zelda timelines.
My question is how the royal bloodline got continued if we don't know the actual science behind the zonai. As we all know it takes a male reproductive cell called sperm to enter the womans body and start a small living organism that grows into a baby after 9 months, but how do we know that Zonai have that same reproductive process or if they even do have one
So they're saying that this woman is the Goddess Hylia? That's the story from Skyward Sword, that Zelda is the Descendant of the Goddess Hylia, and that's why the triforce of wisdom passed through her blood and also the reason that the royal family are Royals. They are the descendants of the The Goddess.
I think that Calamity Ganon is an extension of Ganondorf. In BOTW, king rhoam said that Calamity Ganon emerged from below Hyrule Castle. I think the last of Ganondorf’s power manifested into Calamity Ganon.
I never saw it as the Master Sword being weak I saw it as a testament to how strong this Ganondorf was, simply defending one of his attacks was enough to destroy the Master Sword
I hope we get a BOTW and TOTK Prequel to wrap up this era of Zelda games and fill in the lore gaps. Taking a break away from Link and Zelda by focusing on the ancient past like that would be really cool to see in my opinion
This is amazing. I love the idea that the sacred water faded, giving way to this massive void of space in the darkness. The idea of physically entering the Evil realm is so chilling, too, great job. I'm folding this into my personal lore beliefs.
First theory I think the items that you will recall that in the dungeons have some divine power and that is the reason why the master sword decided to be as far away from you so you the player needs to search those items against to actually will again the master sword or he thinks that you're not worthy enough because you have not passed enough trials😂
what if the heroes of the tapestry are both the childrens of the first king and queen? that way the zelda hylian family can have a lineage and the son/heroe of that period is the more beast like that after sealling calimity ganon went to the depths to had another tribe. that way it doesnt conflict anything
So how are y'all feeling post echoes of wisdom with the reveal that there *has* been a dark force directly opposing the goddesses this whole time, that was sealed away by them, and is the literal embodiment of the lack of entropy/nothingness? Do you think Demise is Null's champion in the same way that Link and Zelda are the champions of the goddesses?
My only agreement against this comes from the craters on the Great Plateau is then we could easily say that what if all the other craters where also shrines, just much bigger or smaller ones. Or the great deku tree held one as well. But i know my thought about that probably could be easily debunked by everything else you pointed out. But there is no way to know for sure honestly and the only way we could find out more is if they where to release more information about it.
I'm thinking it could have been a descendant of Rauru and Sonia, it kinda looks like a Zonai and Hylian mix, my theory has always been that the ancient hero is probably the first one to fight the calamity, a result of imprisoned Ganon's hatred, and might actually come from Rauru and Sonia's descendants, considering that Rauru and Mineru are the last Zonai, and apparently Rauru the only one to have wed with a Hylian, and since nothing is ever mentioned of them having children, we can't confirm or deny their existence.
Honestly I truly hope this theory is true cause my biggest gripe with Tears is that it felt as though it just threw away lore and story. This would fully link it and I love it !!!!!
If the Master Sword erradicates all demons and monsters then everything would be one shoted, which is not the case. In fact, in the final Ghirahim fight you pierce him 3 times in the chest and he still fights, so I guess it refers of the ability of the Master Sword to fight against any kind of evil being
And if that the case, that means in the botw dlc where you can upgrade the master sword that means that the upgrade by the shika monks weren't permanent, because only the blood of goddess can fully upgrade the master sword
And Sonia seemed so motherly. Also i figured that in their timeline that Zelda an Link came from Sonia had a child and died afterwards... Geez now that I say it it sounds like what he's saying LOL IG in short I agree
As someone who's job it is to come up with some sort of in-universe explanation for every single thing in every Zelda game, sometimes, the only actual answer at the end of the day is the most realistic one. That's the point of this video. It's not really meant to be a time waster if you're a Zelda theorist who loves to dive into the lore of these games, but I guess it could be seen as one from a different perspective. I just think it's healthy for a theorist to have an open mind when it comes to considering every possible outcome, even the ones that break into the real world and are the fault of human error every now and then. Not everything can be logically explained through in-game means.
So the dumbest answer i can think of is the sheath. No demons or anything evil can touch the master sword from the pedestal. What isn't at the pedestal? The sheath/scabbard. Only problem is the sword is out of the scabbard when you find it... Maybe it is the blade itself? Maybe it just flew off him first and the bakoblins didn't actually take it? Maybe it being the sword of legend that banishes evil is just legend and it is just the sword that link the avatar of the original hero has a connection with linking him through memory to have the ability to make it shoot lasers and everything else because typically the master sword is recieved after Link is known to be the hero's next reincarnation so it is the familiarity that makes it the champion's weapon? Who knows. Up there with why does it go from violet to indigo to nearly cobalt blue? Or why is there better and more powerful swords that can do the same job as the master sword like the lokomo sword or hourglass sword that also banishes demon lords that aren't Ganon? What is the canonical sword that beats the Demon Majora, kokiri, razor, gilded, great fairy sword, or the helix blade weilded by the fierce diety? I mean you only need 9 masks to unlock the true ending and not every heart piece but most of the 9 masks require or at least heavily insists you need most of the other masks. You can still beat Majora with any other sword.
