Hi, It's Ted Stryker, radio host on ALT 98.7 in Los Angeles (I used to work at KROQ) thanks for finding my show, Tuna on Toast. This show is all about getting to know all of our favorite bands and artists a bit more, I've interviewed 1000's over the years, it's fun to see what makes them tick and how they got to this point in their career and in life. Most episodes are recorded/filmed in my spare bedroom! Appreciate you checking out the show and spreading the word!
Stryker is such a kind and genuine person. Gas a natural talent for connecting with people and getting on their energy wavelength, very good at reading peoples thought patterns and responding accordingly. One of the best interviewers ive ever seen tbh no joke <3 <3 <3
I hated this song when it first came out, eventually came around to it….just wasn’t like their old stuff to me at the time…eventually bought their album and it was on rotation for months !
It's a spiteful song, yes, at face value, but it also makes fun of the person having these spiteful feelings because the truth is the other person is happy, and they're the one who is actually miserable and still thinking about the other person. AAR were really good at making catchy songs that seemed to be about nothing profound but when you really listened they were pretty smart and insightful. I think probably Swing Swing was the only one that was really just a surface level song (in terms of releases).
Yes Tyson say it louder I agree ❤ That’s what drew me to your music and what drives me with mine also, just being my authentic self, I love artists who express themselves authentically and make art that’s just so real and speaks from their heart ❤️
I love Matt so much. Haven’t had the privilege of meeting him. But I see ALK at least once a year. His story is so important for me to understand. I know we all feel this because we came to hear him. I always loved his vulnerability. It’s the only way he could’ve spoke his mind and heart on every song. If I could time travel, I’d go back to 1997 Chicago and hang out with those guys. ALK3❤
omg this is GOLD! guy-man talking! love that guy .... i just found this interview, thank you! you've got LUCKY! hahaha and i can see they are human after all 😆
what a horrible comment. was clearly an accident although he shouldnt have been on his phone. hes not a murderer, just a man who made a terrible accident with no intention to do so.
So I was working my summer job and it’s just hard labor man, I’m supposed to be training for my sport by the time college comes back around and I can’t get these workouts in since I have to be at work by 6am. Listening to Cosmic on my shift it made me realize I’m worth more than just wasting my body away and it really moved some type of energy through me to quit and get back on track with my training. Thank you Matt
that was an incredible interview of one of my first rock heroes that I grew up on as a kid. Incredible interviewing skills Stryker dude, you made him feel right at home ! thanks a lot dude
Hope he works with Mark and Travis again. Blink 182 is Mark, Travis and Matt. Tom sucks and the band hit its peak when he was out and Matt was in. Tom may be on more albums, but Matt IS the real third member of the trio. Give it a year or 2 and Tom will piss off again.
Really? The last great Blink 182 classic was probably After Midnight. They used additional songwriters on the Matt Skiba albums and they were also overproduced into oblivion. Just as the newest Blink 182 album is as well, to be fair.
I love these interviews. It’s like going back in time and being in the minds of the guys who got me the things all teenagers go through and come out the other side and realize how important music really is.
