All of the guitars you hear are all recorded with real instruments. Bass guitar as well, with the only exceptions being "Upon The Wishing Star" and "A New Genesis" where I used a synth-bass instead.
Feels so different now with the completed remake having a new intro. Man I can't stop thinking about Exodus somehow smoothly leading into Collision Course now! I can hear it in my head...
I think that "house" Give me some kind of PTSD or something. Every time I hear running from evil or a remix of it I think "oh my god the house." I'm talking about (My House) of course.
Fade-outs are always situational imo and it's always felt right for this one. I'm just giddy knowing what's coming next. Favorite original album. Favorite original track. We're about to cross the stars as The Decade of DAR tour enters the home stretch!
At last, the album is DONE! The full album video and the MIDI version of the album will be public here sometime within the next few days, whenever my distributor gets everything sent off and stuff goes live on all of the big streaming places. (the videos are actually up and unlisted and can be found in my "Albums" and "MIDI DAR" playlists!) ~DAR EDIT: Album's live (Apple and Spotify took a couple of days to catch up with the other platforms): BANDCAMP: davester2296.bandcamp.com/album/new-genesis SPOTIFY: open.spotify.com/album/19bweirekvlQ5ckIDaARuA?si=_4LbITTxSrmA8_FMqnO1Sg APPLE MUSIC: music.apple.com/us/album/new-genesis/1772014309 TIDAL: tidal.com/browse/album/391000965 DEEZER: www.deezer.com/us/album/651299761 AMAZON MUSIC: www.amazon.com/music/player/albums/B0DJF2G31R
listening to this cover is making me pumped up and emotional, as someone who's just recently became a fan of this series, this makes me hope for the remake to give the exact same feelings as this songs gives along with the original
Taking a minute to read the comments in your video just see my own up there - what a moment - definitely put a smile on my face. Keep going with your awesome work DAR!
This was the one I was waiting for the second the remake was announced and the wait was well worth it. The fact that painful dreams (my favorite track from D64D2) had a helping hand in this track is the cherry on top. I really love the middle portion where it calms down for a little bit.

Just have to finish up a couple more songs before the album is done. ~DAR
The korax lines fit so well with the icon of sin. Almost wish that this was actually in doom 2. Although you cant beat “To win the game you must kill me, John Romero”
