@@Fera-gr5mm There is very little impact for the attacker there. Practice back falls. The real question is whether or not I would do that in a 'real' fight. The answer is that it depends on too many factors to make a blanket rule.
@ussambo he looks like someone I should know. I think Kevin Nash and the Latino Heat were what really captured my WWE/WWF/ECW stuff. Looks like a lot of fun to do that stuff. I've only heard of some places in Staten Island for that stuff. I'd love to learn to do that stuff too.
@@ussambo Yes, he is. Doug just started training with us recently. I just did a few rounds of Randori with him last night! I outweigh him by quite a bit and he definitely hit me with some slick throws.
Very cool stuff. I really like the action of creating movement and then changing direction to facilitate the roll over. Never want to be in turtle for long so that's a very nice option. Like the turtle break down even better, a tight turtle is a pain and that knee on the ribs is nasty. Never realized the importance of the opposite arm opposite hook for back control, makes a ton of sense. Probably lost the position quite a few times because I went same side hook same side choke. Gonna make use of that spiral ride(?) to control the leg and set up the hook, also a new one for me. Cheers.
Pretty sure that's the fat man's roll and there's a BJJ name for the same move too. You forgot to get your points and wrap the cradle up. Pin his knees to his forehead and roll him to his shoulders. I've never cradled anyone outside of wrestling and I've never seen it done anywhere else. I wish I could have done Sambo instead of wrestling. I just want more moves to play with. That was beautiful Steve.
