Sir that Bible is what's called a premium Bible! Goatskin leather which is the most durable will last you for many years just make sure to get something for Bible leather that will keep it moisturized and hyderated. Have you tried the Thomas Nelson KJV study Bible full color edition?
Dear Ronnie , my Brother in Christ , the ONLY translation that is proven to be the most accurate and the absolute inspired word of God is the KING JAMES VERSION ! I went to many BLACK Churches of Christ as the only white guy in the 80s and they only used the KJV , because the newer translations are full of errors , leaving out many words and verses that don"t support the teachings of the early apostolic church ! Christ warned against the false doctrine that would come after the death of the Apostles who established HIS church after PENTECOST !!
Thanks for watching and leaving a comment. The most accurate and inspired word is truthfully the Hebrew, Amharic and Greek text. The word of God translated in many languages to reach the whole world. Everyone that has access to a Bible doesn’t read or understand English. I study from multiple English translations and Hebrew and Greek languages texts. No translation makes anyone a better Christian. I have seen KJV only believers commit horrible sins and I have seen believers who may use the NiV live a sold out Christian life and walk in holiness.
@@ronnievonner Excuse me Sir , but because people who continue in sin using a KJV bible does NOT mean the translation is to blame , that is a VERY weak argument ! It has to do with the persons heart . SO other translations do not have any magical powers over weather or not someone is a " faithful " believer , that is absolutely RIDICULOUS !
It’s a matter of personal choice which Bible translations you read. In my personal study I do use the KJV but its isn’t my primary translation. I been saved for 33 years and my choice in my personal studies is to utilize many of the English translation that are available. The Bible is translated in 700 languages to people that don’t speak English. Are you saying they need to learn English so they can read the Bible.
I totally agree brother about the 40 GSM paper I have a hard time with bleed though. That’s why I started collecting older bibles from eBay. They just don’t make bibles like they used too.
It's a ridiculous comfort script by 2k Denmark...stripped from the original kirkbride script. The ones don't say revised and Updated are way better, being that it gives pronunciation marks. Nkjv is a terrible bible version anyway.
Brother, thank you for all you do. I personally do have the Living by the book but some of those other ones are really much more inductive. I didn’t realize that they were thick volumes as those for Bible interpretation. Thanks for all you do and I’m sorry people leave those back comments but I think you do one heckuva job brother God bless Out here in California
Brother Ronnie, I have the Bible Speaks Today commentary set which I think is one of the best. But is there another one you would recommend to compliment the Bible Speaks Today series? Thanks
Brother Ronnie, you and I think a lot alike! I have or had most of the books you review. It’s always a blessing to see saints who are hungry for the word! Keep up the good work sir!
I have the “How to read the Bible for all it’s worth” book and it is fantastic. Another great book by Gordon Fee is “How to read the Bible book by book”. Have enjoyed both of them
Thank you brother, I humbly request if you could point the camera on your desk to show the pages , it would help us a lot in understanding how readable it is and its layout in your future reviews. I love your channel. it is fantastic, and love your honest reviews!
I have an LSB Large Print Wide Margin. I'm looking at their Portable Paragraph version coming out next month. What are your thoughts on the translation itself vs NASB?
Thanks for watching and leaving a comment. They are pretty close and I like the update improvements. My biggest concern is whether it will get enough momentum to last. I have a lot new translations that only last for a short period of time.
I watched your review and purchased one, $99.91. This is my third Zondervan premier collection bible (NRSV, NASB), all of them around the hundred dollar mark and they never disappoint. This bible is a great value in the premium bible market. Blue with silver is just beautiful I am very happy with this buy. Thank you for your information.
Thanks 🙏🏼 so much for your excellent review! I appreciate you reading examples for usI I ordered it today off of Amazon for $18.37 and the rating was a 4.8 out of 5.0. This is my first commentary. Have a blessed 😇 day! ✝️😎
Thanks for watching and leaving a comment. I would recommend The New American Commentary, Christ-Centered Exposition Commentary, The Bible Speaks Today Commentary and The John Phillips Commentary Series.
Not enough debate for my taste, annotations tend to tell you what connects to what, but the details of how it was determined are absent. Passages on Calvinism don't mention that controversy at all for example. Note that the large print version has a different page layout and black and white illustrations. I much prefer the layout of the regular print edition.
I been feeling like things that use to interest me I just dont seem to enjoy anymore.. It seems like the closer I get to Jesus the farther from the world I become!!
Hello sir, I am interested in purchasing either the Wiersbe Study Bible or the Wiersbe OT/NT Bible commentary set. Which one would you recommend? I am hesitant on purchasing both because I don’t want the material to be repetitive. I would greatly appreciate your feedback.
