Y’all need to do some serious marketing for this game, I’ve only heard whispers of this game and finally tried it for myself and I love it, I just wish there were more people playing
Jumping into this game and being a noob potatoe with no idea how anything works is not fun for me. Even if I watch this video before my first match I'd still be a liability for quite a while. Yes I know "git gud" but also paying for a little more in game explanation would go a long way.
Coming from the Quake games, which I still play, which has a lot of awesome movement (bunny hopping, strafe jumping, crouch sliding and more), movement like this with vehicles makes me excited! Got to go practice!
Hi! Ive been playing around with different vehicles to get a feel for these mechanics and trying to master them. However I've noticed that the movement/steering and momentum play on the Megatrackk Scrapjet seems to be different in comparison to the vehicles you were showcasing in this video. Is this intentional? Is it due to the tracks on the back? id love to understand how to use it to the best of my ability if you (or anyone else) have any guidence.
Fantastic guide on movement. I was unaware of all of these tricks, and will be practicing them a lot to improve my killiness. edit: Gorkdamn this has massively boosted my kdr.
Hello all links to your discord are wrong, they are old and invalid. I have checked from your website, and from whitin the game. I have looked for other links aswell. Just a heads up! Love the game!
Hello, this will be the noobest thing ever. I appreciate the verbal description on how to do it and all but can you please put it out in ...say F+D+Shift for the moves?
I'm tired of the devs resending to criticism of the movement system with this guide, because it's a shitty guide on how to go fast, and it has nothing to do with the main criticism. One of the main criticism of the movement system is that the system is too fucking slow and I think it's too fucking slow, because boost is a shitty mechanic that slows down the game when it runs out. Some of the devs respond with this guide. The guide doesn't make the problem go away because the problem is that this game is too slow, in both my opinion and the opinion of a lot of other people. This guide tells you to use ramps too keep your speed up while recharging boost. This makes no fucking sense mathematically. What you have to think about is your tangential speed(just forward speed not vertical speed) If you use ramps all the time you are using a little bit of boost on the ramp so your tangential velocity is (tangential_velocity) = (total_velocity) * cos(angle of ramp) while on the ramp if you didn't go on the ramp your tangential velocity would be (tangential_velocity) = (total_velocity) no co sine and depending on the angle your tangential velocity might be lower than if you didn't take the ramp at all and just stop holding down the boost button. The only time I take ramps is if it's at a 10* angle or less. The rest of this guide is just about control not speed, whenever someone complains about speed don't send this guide because it gives bad advice when it comes to speed. Also the illusion at the end doesn't work I can tell that you are not going any faster. The rest of the guide is actually somewhat particle in brawls, and the guide is pretty well made while somewhat inaccurate. But yeah Chris if you see this comment stop sending this guide too people who gave your game a negative review for not being fast enough.
The video doesn't show a good example, but yes generally want to take shallower jumps to go fast. However, dash landing allows you to convert vertical speed into horizontal speed which is covered in this video, so I don't think you're reaching the fastest speeds in this game if you're only using ramps less than a 10 angle. If the game is faster, less people can play it. This is pretty clear looking at the popularity of shooters with a high base speed. The solution is to have a slower base speed and add techniques (like dash landing) or options (like picking the fastest vehicle) you can use to increase your speed for those players who are interested. I'm sorry if it's still not fast enough for you, but for a lot of people it's already too fast to shoot and drive at the same time.
Nothing says Orkz like ending your Advanced Movement Tech video with "And if ya need to go propah fast, just crank da FOV all da groggin way up ya git!"
This game has so much going for it that's not obvious to a new player. I really hope people give this a good go and learn whats possible, game is insanely fun!
The car combat genre needs to be revived. With the current trend of multiplayer games being battle royale or PvE coop, this would fit in so right. Twisted Metal needs to make a comeback
