Orkz are gud. Some notices from watching gameplay: - Slow vehicles don't have the durability to make up for their lack of speed. They seem bad - Too much downtime if you keep dying - Being a red vehicle on the blue team and vice versa is confusing - Healing on the cap points looked too snowbally. Not only you have map control and are getting victory points, you also get healed for being near the point - The Grot Bomm or w/e - remote controlled one - doesn't have a lifetime indicator - The targeting reticules don't seem to show you if your target is in or out of range - No exact respawn timer I hope this turns out well because I love Orkz.
Ditto red vehicles on blue team, confusing. I couldn't figure out how sometimes I was healing, being on the cap point you say? might make some sense, good players seemed to dominate a bit too much on the winning teams, but probably I'm just shit and can't influence the game enough hahah
"The targeting reticules don't seem to show you if your target is in or out of range" It's the orkz, not space marines, you think they think before firing? You shoot, if it's in range or out of range is something you'll just have to see after firing. You shoot, if it hits that's good, end of story. The orkz have aiming sights to aim, not distance measuring computers that are constantly evaluating hit distance while doing high speed vehicular moving.
I HOPE more tank-type vehicles get introduced I can totally see this be some kind of a mash up between Twisted Metal & World of Tanks and Im totally okay with that
This game is looking really great! I can't wait to see how it evolves. Your team seems really passionate about the source material and it's really cool to see all of these models come to life.
It'd be really fun to see some sort of boss battle/escort mode in the future with things like battlewagons, stompas, and squiggoths, either ai or player controlled.
The Alpha, of the little I played, was surprisingly well made mechanically. It did run pretty roughly, but you're aware of that. I'm looking forward to seeing what you guys do with the game going forward.
YESSSSS! When I got my new buggies... years ago now I was like man i wish there was a twisted metal style vidya game for them, and here ya are zoggin makin my dreams come true.
I was going to hop on late last night for a match. I played four. This takes me back to the Twisted Metal days, and I'm looking forward to more refinement.
The first proper UE5 game I've played on steam deck and it's very easy to optimize the settings for a stable and consistent experience. Well done. Bonus points: the game is lots of fun too 😅 between this and Boltgun, 40k games are crushin it right now!
I'm still getting used to the combat, but I actually really like the racing. This was such a good idea, I hope everyone gets the opportunity to enjoy this game!
One request, let you change colors of vehicles. With the right effects of course. Red ones are faster, yellow ones do more damage and purple ones are more difficult to see.
This game is so damn good. I don’t want the alpha to end, because I’m having SO much fun with it! But at the same time, I’m SUPER excited to see the end result! The alpha is so solid, despite some bugs here and there, you guys’ve done amazing work so far!!
I'm so happy that this is looking as great as it is, there hasn't been a fun, stylish car combat game in aaaaaages and cult of speed is one of the 40k armies I was always most interested in. I really can't wait to try it, looking forward to seeing more!!!
This looks amazing. I had a Waaagh-gasm watching the trailer and wish I had something that it would run on. For future content may I suggest.... Weedy race vehicles as Mobs...not playable at all...but they roam around the map as huntable targets that the orks fight one another to destroy first. Think of it as a literally mobile control point that must be destroyed for points...then the target shifts to another Mob. Kudos, this looks amazing and I hope to play it someday on my PS5!
im really suprised that its barely an Alpha and it plays great. haven't gotten much performance issues, haven't seen any gamebreaking glitches and abilities you can do are fun. barely the first day and already played 5 hrs, keep up the good work!
Overall a fun game, looks very nice, match goals are not too difficult, gameplay is intuitive and fun. Wish you a successful launch in the near future!
To everyone who made this game - Thank You! i love it! Only thing i would add so far is a Taunt hotkey and voice lines other then that fix any and all bugs and audio issues and this game will be AMAZING!
I want it. One wish for this though: More dust and smoke. Something I loved about that Mad Max game was how every explosion triggered a billowing black cloud, and every collision kicked up huge rolling clouds of sand and dust and debris.
Had a few hours of this the other night. Great fun, seems very promising. I think it would also be cool if you could do multiplayer game mode in one vehicle, with a driver and a gunner, a la Halo buggy. Would be utter chaos but a right laugh
Somewhere, in the galaxy, billions upon billions of different xenos, humans and demons are fighting to survive every passing moment. Meanwhile the Orks are having fun rallying!
I'd love to see a warhammer themed pure kart racing game. Think it would be an awesome outlet to include as many factions as possible with 2 or 3 carts from every faction. A man can dream.
Maybe have some mechanics based on the clans. Blood axes have "quieter" engines for stealth/taking points, bad moons can upgrade guns to have more damage the longer they are in the fight (at the cost of waagh), and the goffs have support vehicles that blast music to heal teammates/debuff enemies.Overall though, you brought back demo derby! Lets WWWWWAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAGGGGHHH!
Played the alpha for about 8 hours as of right now. So freaking fun! I can't wait to see what else is in store for the full release! Hope to see that advanced guide soon! Your narration and explanation of the game shows how passionate you are about this project.
collision damage do the vehicles have armor value depending on side or does the dash give collision resistance or is collision damage just always a trade does it depend on vehicle size how to get the most out of this mechanic ? how deep is it ? i hope its an in depth system since ramming is a big part of orky racing
Looks awesome! I don’t think I will have any bugs to report though, steam’s page says coming soon so I can’t buy it. I will just guess it is available somewhere else. I really like the whole dev giving a instructional video thing.
this isnt a dis, more of a compliment. but man this really looks like a mod for that last madmax game. the physics and all the visuals looks like proper AAA quality, though GRIP and i didnt get along, i am heavily looking forward to this.
This is very nitpicky, but it would be cool to see the gears n' gubbinz inside the kustom boosta blasta moving when driving. Seeing it in the third person camera not moving is telling my hooman brain sumfing aint right, but my ork brain is saying GO FASTA YA GIT!! Looks great guys I can't wait to play this with my friends.
