Hey man. KEEP POSTING!! Who cares if it’s something I already know with this exact truck that I have not. I appreciate the hustle with how busy you are but trust me there’s enough of us who want to see more!!
Just did the whole job in a couple hours time. The 1 inch extension is vital along with the 3 inch. I have a habit of not trusting the rubber boot on the spark plug sockets so I have a separate one with no boot just to tighten or loosen the spark plugs then I only have the use the spark plug socket with the boot one time per plug and I’m not putting stress on the rubber. A slight angle and pulling on a plug that’s still slightly threaded can pull that boot out of the socket.
Hey bro this video is awesome, keep on keeping on, just started getting into working on my and family cars, way to much money to take it to the shop sometimes, thank you for your time big dog and helping people become self sufficient
Old age caused the bladder to burst, rubber deteriorates over time, and Mercedes has stupid designs and engineering, can we say money pits, these struts cost 800 dollars a piece if you do the labor yourself, in a shop 1200 a side.
I hope you will answer me. Or someone will. So I watched your video a bunch. When you're showing the letters and you say"over here is the bk/vk'.. It's so dark I can't see the letters? Also I decided to take the time apart. 🙄 Big mistake... A copper L shape piece fell off. I placed it back and it stayed until I slightly turned the timer in it's case. Help me please. I'm 64 and I'm 😅widowed. With the economy I really want to fix it myself. Know what I mean? Thank you!
I jusy notice that the bracket where the Auxiliary Battery goes mounted on 4:23 has a #5 Fuse, if that fuse its blown would have the same issues as if the Auxiliary Battery was bad?
Awesome video. Learned alot!!! Love your explanations and keeping its understandable and real. This project is way more than I probably have ever tried to do but the way you put it together made it much less intimidating. Thank you.
My dad bought my family a Code Scanner I just hook it right up underneath my steering wheel in my 04 Ram 1500 Laramie saved me hundreds of dollars when a check engine comes on instead of taking it to dealership or a mechanic I just had to replace the EGR valve two days ago only cost me $55 at the auto parts store took about 20-30 mins one csuse it was hot as hell from me driving it over there so all the bolts were hot as shit and we are slow sometimes lol but man I’m telling you what watching RU-vid videos like this and learning how to fix your own car you’ll save so much money in the long wrong
Hello guys. I have to go for holidays to Turkey. And I'd like to know is it possible to disconnect the battery? (Without danger or reinitializing process) or is it better to maintain the charge??? Thanks for your help
nice video - well done as you show a specific way that car needs to be jacked and stand placement (safety first) :D #1 you might talk a little slower [I have a tendency to talk fast too] it does sound like a shady guy trying to hustle you :o #2 the slider pins need to be pulled , cleaned & greased - these are a vital part to check to be sure they move freely to allow the caliper to move as it needs to so it works correctly. [Ive seen these freeze up and cause trouble, So I learned [eventually] to service the pins every couple years] the habit has got me to look at them [check/inspect] every spring to see if the winter stuff might have corroded them. yup we got dusty roads in the summer and ice remover stuff that corrodes in the winter. really enjoyed your guide in this video, You did a Great job instructing well enough for folks to DIY it. :)
I learned something bro, thank you for taking the time to make this video. UPDATE: thanks to this video, went straight to the heating element on my dryer and sure enough, one of the coils was broken. Thanks again man.
😂😂🤣🤣 you know what's funny, I never thought it was going to be such an issue because your not the first person that mentioned that. I do have 49 more videos to edit before I put it here and I do have have another video of the ram when I had a engine code that required me to change entire spark plugs again and this time I showed it 😅 thanks for watching my video 🙃
@chuckfinley4292 if you're trying to take that one by the brake booster I do have an updated video I haven't edited yet. I can send it to you to look at it.
@chuckfinley4292 give me your email and what I'll do is create a folder and put it there to share with you through google. I do have over 49 videos I haven't even edited so give me at least two days to go through them. I never realized when I did this one that is would be a vital mistake not to actually show it 😑
Great video. I just replaced mine on my 2010 W221, however after replacing it, the "auxiliary battery malfunction " still comes on in the dash...I thought it was probably a bad battery so I replaced ot with another one and same thing...new auxiliary battery has 12.5 volts...is there anything I need to do to reset that message??
Hello having same problem with my passenger side, change driver side at local shop but wanted to do myself this time. Is the arnott brand good better than getting from dealership?
Absolutely, when mine happened the dealership was charging me $1,200 just for the bilstein air suspension. After doing my research Arnott is the leading manufacturer in air suspension system and offer a lifetime warranty on it. The use continental tire material for the upper part. Thank you watching my video and hope a became a subscriber
Nice vid. My 09 is leaning to same side as yours but I don't get any hissing when it raises. It will raise but it doesn't level out. I can drive it about 3 blocks and I get a warning "STOP:TOO LOW". Do you think this is the same problem you had? Thanks bro!
Yes, you have a leak somewhere. Might not be specifically the suspension but can be the line. Most definitely will have to troubleshoot and find out. I suspect it's the suspension as they are very well documented to leak on the driver side commonly. Thanks for watching my video 🙏 and hope you consider becoming a subscriber
@@BEARDEDHANDYMAN I notice yours was at 38k miles and it happened. Seems premature, no? I bought mine about a year ago and it had 101k miles. How. often do these things fail?! Thanks for replying also!
@@ericsilverado7757 yes very premature, but you know how parts are "well built" to have happened to be at 38k. Think I will add the factor that most of the time I have it parked and covered. No problem, I try my best to reply to everybody. Sometimes I don't even get the message notifications and won't see them until I go in. Hope the video is helpful if you decide to do it yourself.
I had to check my records and when I purchased car it had 31574 miles. Literally sitting here getting a state inspection and now has 41700 miles. No I didn't run over anything. If my mind serves me right I was driving and an alarm came on and the car started to lean. From my research the air suspension are notorious to leak on the driver side. That's why I went with Arnott brand because they have a lifetime warranty
Any advice on my 2008 Mercedes Benz s550 my screen turns on and off some times it stays on longer but always cuts off . And the car was sitting for a while before I bought it , I took the batteries to charge can it still be a bad battery
Thank you for the correction. Didn't catch that mistake. I'll make sure I address it properly on my next video when I did a nissan. Thank you for watching my video and hope you became a subscriber
Thank you for watching my video. 🤗🤗 Was referring to how much labor an actual shop would charge starting at $450 and up. Hope you became a subscriber as I have 45 more videos to edit and drop. Some are for the Benz also.
Not sure what's the problem or what your trying get at? This video is old and I don't recall everything in video. 1.5 hours to long or two short? Everyone works on their own pace. If I said .045 gap, it came straight from the book. If your an actual ASE certified mechanic your more then welcome to tell me how many hours your book says to charge and spec. Thank you for watching my video though 👍
Thanks for video, I changed the driver side air strut for my 2005 s500 years back so I think I can change the one on my s550 now, especially with the help of your video... you gained a subscriber
@@BEARDEDHANDYMAN no problem and I just changed my air strut yesterday using your video... it took me a couple of hours longer but I got the job done... appreciate you again...
Question for ya. My dryer isn't heating and the timer only moves on the timed drying cycle bur it doesn't move on the Automatic dry cycle. What does, that sound Like to you?
Your welcome and thank you for watching my video. Hope you became a subscriber. I have over 44 videos I still have to edit. Some are on the Benz with other issues I have had.
