So... I never clean them. From time to time I'll bremush off saw dust with my hands (stroke in the right direction😅) but now there's pine resin that adds a bit of friction, so cleaning them is probably a good habit to have !!

Well, I am only a few years over a decade too late. Nice stove that would have been great out back of the cabin. We thank you for the presentation. Now, Beautiful Bride believes me when I tell her about meals cooked on or in a wood stove. Oatmeal, slow cooked overnight on the warming shelf was a favourite. Pour some homemade maple syrup over it and you are in heaven. I also used to make it with sliced apples and or plumped up raisins in the water before adding the oats. At least we still have old fashion oats from Australia in the Philippines. That is one food that Beautiful Daughter and Mother-in-law are constantly asking me to make.

Charles, you got one heck of a deal on that vacuum bottle. We have never seen the brand on our side of the pond. Beautiful Bride found good deals on AquaFlask 40 ounce bottles for our older troops and a smaller flask from the same brand for our little guy. A handful of ice cubes keep water pleasantly cool all day. She also found wonderful padded canvas carry bags with shoulder straps for the larger flasks. A rubberized mesh surrounds the small flask and it has a braided handle plus carabiner for a rugged look. The little guy is only in school for half a day at his age. What I like about the carry bags on the larger flasks is the small pouch, similar to what was on GI canteen canvas covers. There is space for several sachets of powdered electrolyte and water purification tablets. All classrooms are air conditioned at the troops school but it is rather apparent that a large number of students DO NOT consume enough water. We have been experiencing a heat wave . Many students get diagnosed with UTI and other conditions often cause from a lack of drinking enough water. There are water sources scattered around the campus and we learned that the school has their on treatment plant to treat the public water supply. We are happy that our two older children are prepared to treat water in an emergency and to treat a fellow student or teacher that might develop heat related problems.

Doubtful about finding this product in a sachet. Our local supermarket does stock a variety of Hereford products in cans. The main product is several sizes and flavor variants of canned corned beef. I am no fan of any canned corned beef, not even close to a real corned beef dinner! I will ask Beautiful Bride to look for this brand of chili con carne. Who knows, this may be a jewel for storage, emergency and our troops school kits. Thank you for bringing this product to our attention.

@@charlesartificer2158 Follow-up. Beautiful Bride found an imported product early in the weeK. Sticker shock: Molinera chili con carne, imported from Spain 415 gram can. P527.00, $9.34 USD/can at today's exchange rate. The product feels solid, no liquid sloshing in the can. We are in hopes this product will be high quality like what is packed in many foreign MREs. We will be testing it when all family members are present to offer their taste experience. No question, with a serving of their beloved rice, one can will feed at least the two older students, maybe three if the little guy will try a few nibbles. If it is well received, Beautiful Bride will purchase a few more cans. 10 /2028 expiry date. Not a product we would normally stock at this price but if the troops do like it, we have a winner for the school emergency kits.

Ace hardware stocks the product in the US. So does WalMart. WalMart apparently canceled plans to open stores in the Philippines after the pandemic. I found that running two of these at once is better, so I get 20-40w. I also think that the other Marbero 30w panel (without velcro and plug-in being inside of a zipper pocket) was better. Lighter weight and honestly hard to say if one was better than the other when charging. I have a few power banks, but a good one to match this with is the Powkey 120wh (200w max) solar power station, 33,000 mah equilavent.

Stanley makes some great products. I have one of their Steins with the locking lid, which are unfortunately discontinued, and it works great keeping my drinks cold when i go on trips. As you know because I probably drove you crazy, I found O rings and wicks and everything but a field expedient emergency replacement brass pin for the TitanLight.😂 I was damn well determined that the thing has to be able to be repaired with stuff that is easier to acquire in a pinch. So any hardware store, many gas stations and just about every handman's toolbox I have seen you can find duct tape.

@@charlesartificer2158 Well many thanks for your reply. I thought the box said made in China. I tossed it, later discovered a faulty flame adjustment. Contacted Primus with a short video and post hast they sent me a replacement. Awesome customer service. Replacement works fine. Another question if I can. Should the flame go out of you press the adjustment knob in without turning?

@@ronphillips6336 now that's something I don't know offhand. Tomorrow when I get up I will pull mine out light it up and see if I get a similar action from mine. My gut instinct though is no but without testing mine I'm not 100% sure. Thanks for hitting me up with a very interesting question, but I think I'm going to roll over and try to get some sleep now it's getting late here. Have a good night and be safe.

@ronphillips6336 Ok I tested my Primus stove and it indeed goes out when you Press in on the knob. I then got out my camping moon XD 2 and tried the same thing. No change in flame. I tried out several other iso butane stoves and had the same result. Only the Primus goes out or has a flame change when the knob is pressed. So I am guessing the valve is designed different than any other stove I own. I am not an engineer but I find this very odd and a bit distressing. I noticed that this quirk makes it harder to adjust the flame, as you may press inward on the valve without realizing it. then when you pull your hand away the flame intensity changes slightly. Thanks for bringing this to my attention. May have to do a follow up video.
