Hi my name is wayne and i Have a 71 chevy c10 i want to Do a swap ls 5.3 or 6.0 with 700r4 trans what do you recommend me? Let me know I appreciate it thank You
Front or back is irrelevant, just as long as one of the feed holes is supplied with an adequate supply of oil. I picked that side for no particular reason.
I'm British, an American based Triumph owner, and I love your Tee-Shirt! (p.s. imagine that, a Triumph with an electrical issue! Curse of the dark lord Lucas)
@@BlytheLifeRacing Sounds good! Hope you’ll cover it with grease rust & muck to maintain the house style. Don’t wanna start getting all blingy. 😁👍🏻 Btw have you seen the red GT6 streamliner that runs at Bonneville?
All go no show! Love it, Tim! Are those shirts for sale online?? Great photo of you & Mrs Tim at the end. I am in AWE of that lady! Considering what she must put up with. 😂
Check out Fanatik Builds. He’s building an LS powered GT6. Not sure the 2.5L ever made it into the GT6. I think they were all 2.0L’s but they all made a wonderful sound. 😊👍🏻
@@anthonynoblett952 My Brother had a 2.5 pi back in the day. That horrible nappy contents ochre colour! 🤣 Ended up wrapping it round a Vauxhall Viva. I’ll remember that engine sound for ever because I was always passed on my walk to work on a long straight road by a bloke with an extremely soft foot in a TR6. You could hear him coming for miles Vooom-Vooom-Vooom… Coward! 🤣🤣
Huge congrats on your orange helmet friend! Thanks for taking the time to chat with me and my son again this year. Looking forward to your adventures here this coming year!
It is interesting how much harder it is to go just a little bit faster, kinda hit a plateau and things start unraveling left and right. It is a humbling experience for sure, but I will continue as long as my wallet will allow.
Something makes me think, when you are saying you've reached the limit with this engine, you are thinking "might as well try copper head gaskets and see what happens" 😊 good luck!
I haven't decided what I want to do just yet, can't really afford to break the engine at this point in time so I will likely play it safe for a little while longer. Need to talk to someone about tuning and block/head architecture limitations for the stock iron blocks.
Morning Tim, well there’s always next time , you will make it Right, good to see you giving it Your All your still a Winner🏁 in my Eyes, See you next time take care .
well, on a good track try to leave with more boost and get all the boost in quicker. For hot track probably try some suspension adjustments to try to keep some traction off the launch.
@@BlytheLifeRacing You are already getting ahead of the tire, would throwing 200 lbs in the trunk or try to add some separation in your rear suspension be worth trying? I'm thinking you should leave with less power and figure out how fast you can ramp it in once you can set the tires.
It has 5” of separation available, I did not notice my rebound was extremely tight not allowing separation until the last pass. So I’ll try loose rebound for hot track next time. Problem with leaving with less power is how long these turbos take to spool, the softer the launch the longer it takes to ramp in because of the natural delay. The last pass was an extremely slow 60’ and very soft launch, took2 seconds for the boost time come in completely, looking for that to happen within 1.2 seconds ideally
Stuff like this is why I don't let anyone touch my stuff. So frustrating that a damaged reluctor wheel is causing all this grief. Hang in there. Super excited to see what you can make this Triumph do!
UGHH!! It’s always sensors! 🤦🏻♂️ When it’s not everything else that could possibly go wrong! 🙄 Glad to see you’re maintaining your enthusiastic game show host demeanour despite your reluctor wheel oil glitter issues. Happy fandangling Tim 😉 This is supposed to be fun, right? 😅
It seems to be what I enjoy most in life, I do have to remind myself often of this. If it’s not one thing it is another, eventually everything has to come together right? We will know soon, back out at the track this weekend!
@@BlytheLifeRacing Right!! It’s not everyone who gets to drive a 1,000+ horsepower Triumph Spitfire, even if it is popping n banging like a Maytag chewing a cinder block! In fact, I think y’all can be counted on the fingers of one thumb! 😂 Good luck for the weekend. Hope all goes well. Come to think of it you seem to have similar luck to Nick from @HustlinHorsepower and Calvin from @Nivlac57. You guys would make a great team. 😁 Call it Team Lucky Stars ⭐️ 🍀
@@BlytheLifeRacing I would say you don't have a problem with bearings because if you did you would lose some oil pressure. It's normal to have a little bit of metal on your first oil change and even on the second time.
Awww! They’re so cute!! Hope the delivery wasn’t too painful. Happy Mother’s Day, Mrs B. ( It was Mother’s Day yesterday here in UK ). Congrats to the proud parents 😂
What is the horse power soup recipe? I need some! I'll trade you my grandmother's recipe for stoichiometric air-fuel mixture goulash. Good luck with the block! Hope it comes out nice. Ps. If i really had that recipe, I would just give it to ya 😊 Pps. Don't let what happened with that engine block get you down. Keep going!
We can make that trade happen, no sense in making all that HP without the proper fuel mixture! Thanks, trying to get everything sorted with the engine rebuild. We will keep on keeping on.
Wow brother, that's grazy!!! I'm building a Ls3 for my swap. Ls3/6L90 swap. I always have my fingers crossed at start up lol. Butterflies lol. Thinking ,
Aww maan! I’m sorry Tim. Welp! One thing ya know now - You’re a better engine builder than some people who do it for a living. That’s gotta count for something, right? I hope the rest of your season is plain sailing from here onwards. Perhaps think about doing a give-away of U/S parts for merch purchasers? Just a thought. Onwards and upwards, mate! 😕👍🏻
