Oil fill is on the the driver's side. Maybe spillage?? Valve cover gasket?? Or oil control valve leaking from the valley?? Those would be the most likely. Hope it helps. Thanks for watching!!
When you’re coming to a stop and at slow speeds just before you stop the ABS actives . So you’ll hear the ABS pump run and you’ll feel it in the pedal.
My dashboard lights don’t come on or nothing when I have the key in run position. My mechanic said I need a new ignition switch but would that cause the no power to my car dashboard.
I've had several boats in the past. New and used. Some have more problems than others but they all seem to have some sort of issues. Thanks for watching!!
@@paycheckmonster bust out another thousand boat lol true I have triton and sleekcraft jetboat now 4 jetskis I'm looking get yacht so I go down Mississippi river see how that is
Is there any situation where the engine needs dropped/removed to fix other items related to the timing belt? We are being told it needs removed for a 1.5L ecoboost in a 2014 fusion. TY!
@@paycheckmonster thanks for the info! Now I'm concerned being taken advantage of getting charged more. The initial issue is a rapid knock/ticking noise for a second or two ONLY when you accelerate hard above 3k RPM and left off the gas. he things its something with the timing belt or a connecting rod bearing. Only 77k miles on the car. :-(
That burnt grass is one big disadvantage of the East Oak vs Solo Stove. Solo Stove is completely closed off on the bottom and with the stand it will not burn your grass or whatever else it's on.
Most of the time it’s high resistance in the contacts within the relay. After so many times cycling off and on, the contacts start to get a build up. High amp draw from the fan motor can also cause issues.
The service manager at my local Ford dealership says she cannot find any info regarding what mileage I should get my timing belt and water pump service done..any suggestions?
Could be a lot of things. You would need a scan tool to look at engine data. I would recommend starting with checking misfire data and what cylinders are effected. Then I would look at fuel trim to what that is doing and go from there.
Thanks so much for this video. (2010 Dodge Journey 3.5 XLT) After the video I quickly confirmed that my fan is not jumping up the the higher speed (comes on at 219°, but no change at 230° and above). I removed the high speed relay and tested it and it is fine. So I now deduce that there's no power coming to the relay. Not sure how to check and fix that, but if I were to run 2 wires into my car with a switch to jump across the connectors like you did (8:15 in your video) when it gets to 230°, (I know it's risky, but I'm willing to take the risk now that I've been overheating for months), QUESTION - would doing that fry something else that is supposed to turn off when the fan ramps up to high speed? Thanks for any help you can give. A copy of the schematic would help too. I'll see if I can get that without a proper mechanic's account or something. Cheers!
Hello sir, my car has a noise problem when cold starting and put&leave off the gas pedal. Some experts say that cam gears make noise for they can’t be oiled at cold start. Can you help me? How can I contact you?
Thank you very much for the explanation with the work. I had a car like this and I kept thinking what happened to the engineers who created this engine so much work to replace a timing belt.
OEM. That's all I put it now. The aftermarket ones work on old models but not the newer stuff. I guess that's why they're a lot cheaper. No core charge on that one. Thanks for watching!!
My radiator hose was cut.. didn't know it. Drove it.. overheated.. now i need . The overhaul.. i have money for a car.. but my husband died and i want to fix his car. 2014 dodge avenger . I'm gonna drop a pretty penny on the job . But I'm keeping memories.....
PaycheckMonster....i'm having a similar issue with my 2014 Dodge Avenger. I saw that the guage was rising and slightly overheating. I noticed that only 1 of 2 fans was operating. The passenger side fan wasn't working but the driver side fan was. I ever so gently tapped the fan with a low grade mini hammer. It kicked in. But now the driver side fan isn't working. Could this be a relay issue? I've seen many videos where you can inner change the relays in order to determine if the fan relay is faulty. This is done with the car on, correct? Grade video. Thanks.
If you tapped on the actual fan motor and it started running. It could be the motor itself. You should be able to switch the relays as long as they are the same. Dodge like to integrate the low speed relay in the power module a lot of times. If it has 2 fans, it usually uses a low speed fan first, like when condenser cooling is needed for a/c operation, then when engine temp gets above the thermostat regulating temp the high speed will kick in.
I'm doing a head job on one of these, but the phaser tool doesn't fit. Every kit I see has that same phaser tool. My exhaust cam phaser is the same diameter all the way to the edge, if that makes sense. It doesn't have that step down where the tool sits. To me, it looks like every kit is the same exact phaser tool, and the tool in my kit matches the tool that Prodemand says to use. And of course there's no alignment pin on the phaser or camshaft so I can't just slap it together. I think we have the same kit actually, nice.
My AC wasn’t working and it’s really hot here in LA so I got desperate and checking my car out I noticed the green connector. So I disconnected it and my AC is now working 🥳 so I guess I’ll have to replace my actuator. Thanks for the video.
Looks damn near identical to the 2014 jeep patriot sport. I’m also surprised you didn’t do a 90 degree release on the first go around of the cylinder head bolts and then an 180 degree for the second go around. Instead you just completely Loosened one bolt at time in reverse order. I’m scared of snapping a bolt lol.
You mentioned not hearing the lifter, having this issue on an 07 Sierra with a cylinder 4 misfire. Changed plugs, wires, and coils already but the lifter is ticking. Any diagnostic tips?
Collapsed lifters are an issue on these engine. Diagnostics as shown in the video is just a simple way to check some of the basics without throwing parts at it. If you have a known good firing cylinder you can swap ignition parts between the misfiring cylinder. If nothing changes, then it's not ignition related. Then you go to the next step. Injector flow test, compression and cylinder leak tests. If your hearing a tick in the valve train, the compression and cylinder leak test will identify the issue. If it fails a compression and cylinder leak test, the next step would be to remove the valve cover and check valvetrain. Thanks for watching!!
So funny story. S-Dubs here. I’m headed that way this weekend for a sxs ride. Just searched RU-vid for “Danbury sxs trails” to get an idea of what’s to come. Clicked on this video and a few seconds in I was like, wait a min. I know that person. Haha. Great video. Can’t wait to head up there. Cheers.
Just removed the starter from removing the oil filter... it...was...a...bytch but it was easier to put it back in. Truck still won't start and now something is completely draining my brand new battery! When I try to crank it, the battery gauge goes from 14 to 8! Helllllp meeee!!!
Well it’s called piston slap when the car gets old and has high mileage the piston and the cylinder gets worn out and the cylinder wall gets worn out it’s high tell tail the sign the engine is on its last legs
@charlieboy6885 sadly it wasn't doing that until after a deer hit it. Tore it up pretty bad got it put back together and catalytic converter went out and now this. It never had a sound she ran quiet, the only issue I ever had out of it before that was the alternators kept going bad.
I don't remember hearing a noticeable whine when filming the video. If you heard something in the video, it might just be bad audio. Thanks for watching!!
