Maybe they gave me a bad tune job after I had mine installed cuz although the Bike sounded awesome, it was also HOT on my right leg when I rode making the great sound just not worth it!
I pulled out my 22XE cam out. And put in the CR483. Man. The bike is an absolute animal. It pulls hard at 2000 rpm to 6000. The bike felt boring with the 22XE cam. I talked to master tech miler from Australia. And he told me the 22XE. Does not have anuff duration. For the M8 motor and he was right. Re dyno the bike made 138 hp 141 torque from 114. It’s never boring anymore. Check his video out on RU-vid very very good 👍.
What did it make for power and torque how early do you feel the torque coming in Also. What was your crank runout before you installed your S&S cam plate and pump.
i have a 2011 se 110 cvo street glide with diamond cut heads and jugs also ported and polished and a big bore piston 10.5 to 1 .with 259 e cams with reinhardt true dual racing exhaust. my question is the 777 cams better than 259 e cams ? also my bike was tuned epa friendly by harley what do you recommend for a tuner ?
Diablosport predator 2 non corsa installed.. 2015 yukon denali 6.2 8 speed.. played with all 8 gears 1st +mph tune. Aggressive shift.. 1 week ran +20 throttle boost.. no air intake installed so I didn't get on it hard.. noooo mechanical issues. 91 93 octane.. around 500hp tq after corsa intake and exhaust.. it'll get you to safety bit you need to know how to drive before anyone maxes out a diablosport premium pro 2 tuner... ice road sensor comes on.. that's what I'm studying right now. 2wd anything life threatening it'll get you safe
Hello, I’m hoping to go pick a used set of these pipes up today. Just bought a 13 fatboy with the twin cam. I’m being told it will run fine without the tune if I don’t do the air filter. Is that correct?
So that’s usually the rule of thumb. If you do the pipes and not the air cleaner, you can get away with it if you do the air cleaner and not the pipes, you can get away with it. It doesn’t mean that it wouldn’t run better with the tune.
Yea I know the back pressure and all but cobra power duals should help with scavenging somewhat even with the bends in pipes should help with that especially with the port they put in the 2-1-2 pipes and when look it’s really no different in than 2-1 yea maybe a couple to few torque numbers

I used a basic tune for that configuration. Then I ran auto tune a few times in different conditions to get it closer. Once that was good I made a couple small changes to clean up the map and smooth out spikes.
You are close. 100hp 107ftlb. Firing right away is in reference to a good solid tune. I’ve heard plenty of injected bikes with bad tunes the crank and crank when dead cold before they fire.
Not sure what you mean by “can” tune. Fuel Econ is better actually if anything. Just did a 2000 mile trip in 2022. Had 150 mile range when everyone else needed to stop. I use power vision for auto tune. But too many mods and I recommend a dyno tune.
Both systems in this video sound great, but the 2-1 gets the sound and throttle response for the win. What other 2-1 systems have you had on this bike? Is this quieter than a D&D or the other 2-1 systems you've had? Thanks!
Another thumbs up! The thump and shake this bike has is awesome. I sold my cammed/tuned 2017 SGS because it had no personality or character. I'll be getting a twin cam something to replace it. I'm really leaning towards a Road King as the nostalgic style is timeless...

Another thumbs up! With regard to twin cam motors, what brand 2-1 exhaust pipe/baffle has the least mind blowing volume so you can hear the radio as well as tolerate for extended riding and longer trips without totally killing over-all performance ? I had a V&H Pro Pipe with the standard baffle on my 2017 SGS (107 ci with S&S 475 cam, Ness A/C, PV dyno tune) and after a year or so, I got tired of the loud cruising drone and was ready to put a different exhaust on the bike. And this is with always wearing ear plugs and a full face helmet - lol. After 3 years and 30k + miles I sold the bike and now want a twin cam bike with its original thump and shake with a 2-1 exhaust. Thanks!
Thanks again for the comments. The twin cams definitely have more character. The milwaukee eights with Cam‘s do get a lot more fun to drive but that do lack character. Well without some major upgrades. I really like the sound of the fuel Moto pipe with a louvered baffle. We put about 10,000 miles on my main bike every year and that’s what I have on for exhaust. It’s loud enough to hear it when you want to and tame enough to not drone on the interstate.

That’s a really good idea. I may just do that. I really appreciate the comments. The first lift I got was kind of something. I ran across that a guy was selling. I have a hard time finding parts for that one. The second lift I picked up from discount ramps. I don’t believe they’re made stateside, but I do know the parts are supported stateside. Plus, I’m in Wisconsin and their warehouse is in Wisconsin. I’ve been thinking about replacing the old one that would be a good time to do a video. Thanks so much for the idea.

Have you had it dyno tuned? Does it have a dip in torque at low rpms? I have Bassani true dual w TW222 cam on 2007 street glide w 103 motor. I have a significant dip in torque at 1500-2200 rpms which drives me crazy. I want to switch to S&S power tune dual head pipe, but I can’t find any dyno charts for that set up w 222 cams.
That is the nature of a true dual exhaust system. The S&S does have a connecting port. This helps get rid of a dip at the bottom. But the best curves on Dyno’s I’ve seen are always the 2into1.
I have a 2000 FLSTC twin cam 88. I love the bike, but the power is half of what I'm used to. I feel like I'm on a moped. If I had known getting more power out of an 88 was so expensive, I would have gotten another bike. I want something with enough power to scare the hell out of me.
I'm in the same position. Literally was debating on trading my bike in but I decided two days ago to just enjoy it and make it my own. I'm actually in the process of buying a 510 lift cam, changing the oil plate, tensioners, pump, lifters and just enjoy the ride until I'm ready do upgrade down the line. Everyone says the 88 engine is bulletproof so I'm going to stay away from engine work. Embrace the 88 and just save up for the 114 or 117 a year or two for now, maybe even longer!
