For Sebastian, he's like the first villager i met. No genuinely, i COOPED myself in the farm for a few days because i was such a noob. So when i got that letter from willy after finding out the mail box was a thing, i went to the beach and it was raining. And in rainy days, seb goes to the beach. So basically Sebastian was TECHNICALLY the first villager i met (aside from willy) and after that i really loved him. Like, god bless that man. 😭❤️
Maru was and currently remains my only marriage canidate for the game LMAO, I liked how passionate she is about her projects and how determined she is on working on them (also she's cute, I'm gay, and Robin is awesome) Also the galaxy phase callout was... painstakingly accurate
I know someone who married Abigail because according to her, one of the things fathers fear most is losing their little girl & she really hated Pierre. 😨
I chose Emily because she's so unapologetically herself (i was literally blushing at her 6 heart event) and the way she just scoots up to you and leans on your shoulder is exactly what I would do to someone irl if I wanted to cozy up to them 😭 it's only after we got married that I realized she can be a lil bit crazy sometimes butttt i love her anyway lol
I chose Sebastian as my first candidate. It was just for fun at first (bc I had an emo phase in my early teens so Seb was somewhat relatable), but when I saw the frog cutscene I knew I married the right one. 😔✊️ Also he deadass changed the kitchen's wallpaper into skeletons. I'll never forget that.
As an Emily first timer i feel personally sttacked for being called a 70 years old. While i don't burn incents i definitely call young people youths and im only 21
I just started playing Stardew Valley recently, and all my friend unanimously agreed that I would like Elliott. They were correct. I still write nowadays, so he felt like a kindred spirit. He's also so romantic and sweet, I adore him to bits. I'm currently trying to get hearts with him, and he's so lovely. You are SO right about me listening to Taylor Swift, and loving Red especially!
thank you for putting the best character at the start so i can just leave (also jorts are cool. i need to buy a new pair because my old pair seems to have stretched somehow and now im stuck with boring old normal shorts)
elliott will have my heart forever and always, and most of those do be true although i never listened to tswift religiously xD HOWEVER i did write stories about my own characters and i miss it dearly hhh im not entirely sure that i took honors classes, they were all normal classes- and I've been told my voice is very nice to listen to so :D I wouldn't say im super calm, i can get overexcited easily, sand is annoying af and candles are so good tho- i actually have a candle that reminds me of how i headcanon elliott to smell xD
I married Elliott first (and never married anyone else bc I always end up going back to him) and I actually do hate sand with a passion. As hyper-specific as that was, it was f*cking spot ON.
The fact that you can help Clint date and later marry Emily is a crime. I wish we could do the opposite and call him out on being a creep and maybe see some growth from his character
ppl who drool over Elliot don't make sense to me, his heart event at the bar where he's rude to gus made me really annoyed ! he just gives me pretentious artist vibes. i always steal Leah from him 😊
If you like characters definitely try SVE. The Joja Cashier, Claire, becomes romanceable, and for some reason in my first ever vanilla play through I really wanted to romance her (maybe I wanted to save her from Joja lol) and was sad she was a full-on npc. In SVE though she’s written kind of boring imo so I made her my gf then dumped her for the egirl Sophia who has a much deeper story. Ridgeside village also adds a bunch of NPCs but they’re harder to get up in hearts because their gift tastes are somewhat ridgeside related and some people don’t show up in year 1 (like Kent in vanilla). Thankfully the people that do like Kimpoi & Zayne have easy gift tatstes. Some writing in Ridgeside is…. Questionable… like Italians saying “mama mia” all the time but overall it’s fine.
Yes!! The characters are definitely what makes me love Stardew more than other farming games. Thank you! I haven’t even heard of Ridgeside!! I will look into it. thank you!!!! 🧡🧡🧡
For me most of those things about sam weren't true, except for the alex part which was true. I wanted to go for sam because he seemed kinda childish, and as the oldest of 6 I love acting like a mom and taking care of other, and Im addicted to video games as well, which he also likes.
I came back to say if i did chose to date a girl in the game it would be Maru or Haylee. Maru because she smart, she able to make things and have goals, she a friend to Harvey and respect him, she one of the few chacters where she does not have a bad things to say or looks down on you for being a farmer and she cares about her brother even if she doesn't understand why their relationship was never good. Haylee because i never saw her as mean it must be hard having parents say they will be gone for only a little bit and never coming back, she can't go into the city that often with the bus broken and she dose change
I picked elliot cause handsome, caring, poetic(man makes me blush with his dialogs 😳) plush he feels rewarding to marry cause of his schedule lol (in summary i married him im 2 files cause handsome man who loves lobsters:)
I can't believe you put cozy and Munchkins in the same video! I am the least competitive person I know and I absolutely sandbag the first person who wrongs me
Need penny for life as safety net If God force me to have kid I can leave kids to Penny and i can just ignore and to my hobby and spend time wirh wife Dont force childfree person to have kids Except in game
I chose havery because i find him so cute. He learns all this stuff for his town but he doesn't really know how to talk to people except when he doing his job. He wants friends but is shy about putting himself out there. He trys to face his fears and i found his reaction to stuff as cute. Oh if i didn't choose Harvey i would have gone after Elliott and i was never a honor student i just found it endering that even on his bad day dlong he still talks to you nicely. Shane would be the one i would not go for im not the i can fix them type of person and i don't mind penny i just get frustrated with her bad reaction to some answers or gifts sending you back to almost no hearts.
I first wanted to marry Maru and came really close. Maru's really cute even in her current form, and she was nicer to me than anyone else right from the start. She's also relatable, as someone who was the "favorite kid" of my parents - it's not as good an experience as it sounds. But then what Demetrius said way at the beginning got to me, and I realized that of everyone, I'd be hurting Maru more than anyone else by making her live on a farm. I ended up marrying Abigail first playthrough. She's equally pretty and all she wants is to be an adventurer - which if anything, the farmer helps with. Which stereotypes should I be looking at then?
OMG The fact that Demetrius’s speech really got you too!!! I feel that haha. And there are no rules so pick and choose whoever you think suits you best heheh. They might both suit you! Who knows haha!
Elliot was my first pick. I did not take honors I actually had pretty bad grades all throughout highschool… but I write a lot of poetry, and I like how soft looking and eloquent he is.
Maru and Alex were my first pics. I wanted to go after either but playing in a homophobic family I had to go Alex but am now doing a run where I can go after Mare
