All about HOUSEPLANTS! Propagation, plant reviews, plant tours etc. Hi I'm Dennis, a mildy obsessed plant hobbyist who is always getting another Philodendron and always poking his finger into the potting medium. This disease started with the end of the lockdown here in Singapore and moving into a new place with a balcony with glorious morning sun. The Monstera deliciosa is the first love. Followed by another four others...and then a 'few' others...If you enjoy random plant videos and what not to do to your houseplants, do tune in! I can't guarantee good advice (still very much a green newbie) but there will be drama, I'm sure. If you consider root rot as drama, that is 😆 #guywithaplant #waterandrepeat
I got free hoyas! Woohoo! They have been rooting in water for 3 months, so let's take a look and maybe I shall pot them up. #hoyaplants #waxplants #guywithaplant
I stayed away from Anthuriums for a while as the humidity levels in my previous apartments weren't that great. I'm slowly introducing them now that my current place has better humidity. I don't use a humidifier and have no intention to. But no matter what, it's hard to have perfect looking leaves with them 😄
Yes, as a matter of fact, I'll exclude the moss if I'm doing this again. I think it will cause stem root issues. Just perlite and leca should be ok. Thanks for watching 🙂
I'm so crazy about scindapsus. Your silver cloud is gorgeous. I have a couple that are in water, I want to put them in a pot of PON. Jade and blue splash! 😊
@@planttherapy1860 me too! I think Scindapsus are under appreciated. There are so many beautiful varieties out there. I think they should do well in Pon too.
@guywithaplant Yes, I put one of them in PON, and it took to it well. I lost maybe 2 leaves. But Dennis, your silver cloud is beautiful, and I need that in my life. Wish list!
They are really easy going and not difficult to grow. It's pretty fast growing for a variegated plant too. I just keep it in a regular Aroid mix, bright light and I also think it will look good climbing up a pole. Of course, you can keep it as a trailing plant too. Check out my next video on the update of a project of mixed Scindapsus. There are some of these variegated jade satin too. 😉
But it is always putting out a new leaf but it takes a while for it to fully unfurl. However, it is really hardy and definitely beautiful, so enjoy it as it is 🙂 Feed it regularly.
I will usually wait till the pup is a little bigger, then I'll separate it from the parent plant and repot it. I've done that to my other Whale fin previously and they produced even more babies 😄
Unfortunately some of the cuttings rotted off and I gave the rest of the cuttings and the parent plant away to a friend, to make space for other plants. This is definitely a beautiful plant and maybe I'll give it another try again someday.
Somehow, this little corner has become home for a few varieties of Epipremnum (Pothos) and it has grown out quite nicely and looking really lush. #epipremnumaureum #epipremnumpinnatum #epipremnumamplissimum
Hi! You may check out my previous video here for the comparison. Marble queen is Epipremnum aureum and doesn't have any fenestrations when juvenile. Hope this helps. ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-tEgNpT3jCrI.htmlsi=KzAoNmNnCCiD2rpU
@@guywithaplant sorry I forgot after watching that video before hehe. This is the first plant that got me subbed to your channel last year, as well as pellionia repens
