@haloguy have you read the Halo: Epitaph? Light spoilers below, but very relevant to this and the mysterious text. Some of Epitaph takes place on a recreation of Epitaph in the domain (showing I know lol). The book describes the holographic text from that map as various texts of the Mantle. That holographic text is the same that is on those large pillars and Sandtrap walls.
If no one has mentioned it before, you and these videos are much appreciated 🤙 I really hope we get the "Renewed for Season 3" announcement. I thought S2 was super enjoyable. I even got the wife into it....and I can't tell you how proud that makes me.
For all of Season 1’s faults (Season 2’s been absolutely fantastic so far, though), Kwan was never one of them. Hell, she’s exactly what people were asking for when many-myself included-wanted a canon in-universe show not about Chief. Obviously her story isn’t canon, but it’s in the same vein as what I originally expected from the show when it was announced in 2013. Kwan’s a kid just trying to find herself, and if a story of self-discovery and identity isn’t Halo in a nutshell, I don’t know what is. Honestly, I think her and Kai were by far the best parts of Season 1, and Kwan’s remained my favorite part of Season 2. She’s just cool. Her story reminds me of the Spartans in that she was a kid that had her life stolen from her, but now is starting to find her own path. It’s messy and not easy, but she’s still pushing through all the trauma regardless to become a hero in her own right. I’m really excited to see where they go with her and I’d honestly love to see her integrated into core canon somehow. I mean, John’s already got the Weapon, so who’s to say he won’t go full Batman and basically adopt another kid? Regardless, Kwan’s a highlight and I’m really glad she’s still so prominent in Season 2. I can understand the complaint that her story in Season 1 may have felt irrelevant, but Kwan as a character is a gem.
I find her to be the single worst thing about the show lol. I mean the show has a host of annoying things about it, but my god this character is an abomination. Its not an exaggeration to say she could be replaced by a key or some other mcguffin and it wouldnt make any difference to the story and would be an improvement for the viewers.
Warp to now and Madrigal was glassed off screen. Unfortunately, there were other examples of mystics in the show. Not a big fan of that kind of stuff in Halo. Although, it would be really funny if it was building up to certain humans having powers like the Psions from that weird Ensemble Halo MMO that got cancelled. I would just die laughing if that happened (although, maybe not as hard as when they killed off Keyes in a gas explosion to take out a bunch of Jackals and let this civilian transport escape, having Ackerson and ONI take the Spartan’s armor, the unfortunate return of the Covenant lady, and having the Covenant capture Cortana🤣😂). It’s truly hilarious just how big of a dumpster fire this show is. There’s some genuine good things, but there’s also a lot of beyond atrocious ideas. Can’t wait to see where this train wreck takes us. Also, I’m not trying to condescend you or tell you you’re wrong for liking the show. You can like what you like. I just think it’s funny how badly they’ve managed to botch this. So happy I have no investment in the show and just view it as something to laugh at.
Your videos are so good, i hope to see you gain more and more followers in the future. You have a fantastic content delivery and an audiobook voice. Keep on creating fantastic content!
Hey have you read the first halo book cryptum? In like the first chapter they talk about the three life workers, a monument buried in sand, they talk about a text only forerunner can read and much more.
@@haloguy I know there reference to the “alien” franchise in the games. A reference to Ripleys cat or something Maybe there’s some overlap there? the species that’s buried In cryptum is a promethian Let me know what you find!
Hounestly shes 45% of the reason in not intrested in trying to watch anything else from halo, like i see what your going for from this, but objectively as a charector in thus story, shes just not relevent or a fun/interesting charector to watch
I plan to! I’ve been real busy lately and haven’t been able to make many lore videos, so be sure to follow on X (Twitter) for more consistent lore breakdowns
I find it fascinating that there are groups of human Forerunner “cultists”. I can't recall seeing something like this before. I’m curious about how their beliefs differ from other groups that worship the Forerunners, such as the Covenant. Personally, I hope that the Forerunners aren’t human. I’ve never been a fan of the “chosen one” story arc and would love to see other alien species susceptible to the Forerunner visions as well. It would be interesting to see a character like the Arbiter driven by holy prophecy and visions, only to realize that it’s not “holy” but just the manipulation of an ancient alien race trying to bend the universe to their will. At the same time, it being humans all along would be interesting as well. Perhaps Kwan is just a construct of forerunner engineering...the Cheif too.
@@RampageousOne I also don’t like the “choosen one” plot in stories but Halo has always kind of that so… Besides, I’ve always loved the irony that the Covenant is killing their “gods” without realizing it, that’s why the Forerruners being humans is an idea that attracts me a so much
