This is such a small unit that I didn’t bother. When the pump kicks on it pressurizes the manifold and then back into the tank. The lines were so short, I bet it happened almost instantly. The longer lines like drive and up and down, I just cycled a couple times. If there was a chance of running the pump dry for more than a few seconds, I would have been concerned.
I am here because of a 2476-3 (faults out when bumped to the left)code, which led me to an old forum post where people suggested to buy a new base, look at a document to clear the code behind a paywall, then it was too old to access or to take it apart and clean it. So here we are. In your experience, does simply cleaning it like this fix anything related to my dilemma, or it not, can you recommend how I find out?
Well, that is a tricky question. I found some wires in mine that were about ready to start shorting out because of wear. You could have a situation like that. These controllers have a solid state base with a magnet over them to get position. I am not sure what yours has in it. Doing some research, I found a post on the heavy equipment forums called "Help with CAT 259D LH Joystick error". There are a couple of troubleshooting procedures in PDF that should be able to help you. Let me know what you end up doing.
@@MakersAcres Thank you for reading. That's what we are hoping for. Looking for some sort of a schematic to tell us where the sensor actually is as well. I found the same threads, but after registering, I don't have access to those pdfs. Maybe my membership is too new. I'll keep trying. The cheapest solution is definitely going to happen before major money is sunk into it
@@readwriteretro That's strange. I was able to download them. This forum should be free to all. If you e-mail me, I can send you the copies from that forum. My e-mail is in the about section. You may have to view it on a desktop in order to see it.
is Richie Brothers Running a scam ? Jun 20 2024 timed auction: I participated in online auction; won 11 items; got the email from rbauction, saying I won all 11 items total $10k to $14K. now they say because of a "technical error" I din't won nothing; they going to re-start the auction and told me if nobody out bids my items ; I can see clearly; if things Don't go "their Way" they will have a "technical error"
Hey great job on this one. I have a lift that I’m having issues with as well. I popped a resistor and a cap on the board. The charger went TU and shorted Anyway. I was wondering if you could send me a high res pic of the board and the values of the cap at C15 and the color bands on the resistor right next to it. They’re located on the side of the board opposite the plugs located by the center of the 5 lower capacitors.
Great detail, thank you. Those gears sounded very bad after the repair....it'll be interesting to see how long they last. Hopefully they work themselves together and smooth out like you mentioned.
just bought a new wolverine trencher for 1200, any more tips after owning it awhile? I'm only needing it to dig 300 feet in soft sand with a 2023 cat skidloader.
I got this code saying left joystick not getting base message. How can I test if my left joystick is working or not? Can I swap right joystick with the left one?
Do you have a unit with a screen in it? I am assuming you do if you get that error message. You can go into the diagnostics menu and show the control outputs in real time. Should show you X and Y positions as well as button presses I think? If you email me (you have to go to the about section to get the e-mail as RU-vid will strip it out) I can give you some of the troubleshooting steps in the manual.
On the service section, I got two errors: 1. Left Joystick Base Message Failure 2. Left Joystick Grip message Failure My bobcat's model is s62, year 2022. where can I see the control outputs? please let me know the troubleshooting steps.
@@Jing2010a Oh, this is a newer model. I would think that would be covered by warranty! I would head over to the heavy equipment forums and make a new post under the skid steer section.
The cameras are super handy but very disappointing on the quality level they come in such a high dollar machine. They are nearly useless in anything but perfect lighting. I think they work OK at night with lights on. Seems like such a minimal investment for them to come standard with a high end phone quality camera, in comparison to a 120k machine
I agree. I figure they put the R&D into these over a decade ago. At the time, it was great, but as far as I can tell, they have never iterated and updated it.
I sell a lot of our work trucks at Ritchie’s. They all have either transmission issues or engine problems that aren’t worth fixing. Can’t believe what people pay for them
RB has good stuff but you have to be very very careful, an go look at it in person before auction closes, and some RB yards are great, some suck like the one you went to. It’s a cut throat game and it’s not for everyone.
19:34 I'd say you should remove as much rust as you can. The rust reformer, reforms the rust that you leave over that is still in the pores and microscopic areas...
Yes, they are very smooth and no grinding now because I removed all the debris. You probably don’t need to do this if your seals are intact. Mine was torn, so I had no idea how long the controller was getting debris in it. I also found some wires that were getting cut up, so the preventive maintenance I did I would consider worth it as well.
Actually there is a lot of deception involved by Richi. Nearly all who win get disappointed and that is thousands of people. It is good that he posted this so don't be too condescending please. Your point is taken. More people need to see this before they bid.
@@petedavidsen1760 I have probably 40-60 hours of use since the rebuild and it is still going strong. I mean, I put way better bearings in it than what was in it before, so I expect a long life now. Would I rely on it if my business was mowing lawns or clearing brush with this, no. But for my personal property it has been wonderful. I just had to pay a stupid tax for not putting oil in it. It’s a better gear box now though even though it was painful.
@@bradytaylor9527 I ended up buying mine. But I would go to the heavy equipment form and ask. A couple users have a database and have been willing to share.
@@MakersAcres It's going to take some time and probably one special video to really "hit", but I'm telling you, you will hit 100K subscribers easy in my view if you keep producing content, just great stuff.
I think of it as a learning experience! Plus this has helped a few people rebuild their gearboxes. So I’m glad I was able to help some people locate parts and help them do the repair.
@@MakersAcres yeah that's good. I saw one for sale on marketplace and the ad said they are empty for transport. Doesn't really make sense to me but they should have a warning on them
