Hi my name is Tiffany and I am a NICU nurse. My goal is to help you in your nursing career by providing useful advice and tips. Let's help each other grow! New videos every single week. Stay tuned!
Well yes of course, nobody said we have to have lots of social conversations, being a nurse is a lot to do with having empathy, being responsible, being organised and able to work under pressure at times. All of these things are perfectly possible with a more introvert personality type
Hi Tiffany! Thanks for posting! I just started in the nicu and it's all I ever wanted but it's so much content to learn and I feel overwhelmed. I'm hopeful that if I just keep showing up and trying hard one day I'll feel more confident.
In case anyone reads this. Avoid the place at all costs and for the love of god DO NOT EAT in this establishment. They serve sashimi and other easily spoiled food and there isn't even a kitchen in the building.
Hi Tiffany, your videos are very helpful and deserve more views. I hope you would make video on different Neonatal positioning, I find this topic very interesting and helpful to parents.
The title of your video is very misleading and it appears you’re using the title for clickbait. You’re not quitting bedside nursing anytime soon and you’re planning to become a nurse educator which is not a crazy job change. Please do better with how you present your videos and yourself, it’s not fair to your audience.
TY! I needed this I'm a 15 almost 16 year old who will be in college in a few months I love newborns so I decided to be a neonatologist but then my sisters said I will never be able to do it and to be serious so instead im choosing NICU nurse and all my sisters are thinking I will fail by not being able to do an essay but I will do what I want in life and prove them wrong that's my future goal!
Hospitals labelling a baby dirty for leaving is crazy sounding 😂 just curious for the rules around how they would accept a “dirty” one year old?! Not hating at all I’m just genuinely curious
Hey Tiffany, FYI a CNS is an APRN and does require a masters degree. Their scope varies according to state. Some states they have full practice authority and others they do not.
Hi.. I love watching your videos and have learned so much! I am a new grad Nicu nurse and would love it if you could do a video on basic line building, Picc line changes, and IV administration specific to Nicu. Thank you so much !!!
Has Herrick ever tried the XS tops? I'm trying to find my correct sizes and we're a similar size. I weigh a bit less and have a slightly smaller chest and waist.
God bless you for working nights! I did for 6 years. Been on day shift ever since. NICU nursing has changed a lot since I started as a new grad in 1981. We didn’t even have pulse ox monitors! I love the babies I care for & have loved my work as I near retirement.
I'm not a nurse myself however, I've been cared for by several extremely talented, empathetic, committed and supportive not only RN's,ARNPS but also the occasional LPN or two as well. I have an extremely high level of respect and honor.
Hey Tiffany! I think I probably have to disagree . Our work in NICU is also as intense and busy depending what your facility demands are. If u r getting 26weekers or less. U probably won't have time to sit n chart. Or being even a resus nurse.
Heyy! I’ve been a long time subscriber of yours since nursing school & Ive now got over a year of experience as an RN! I have to say you’re one of my favorite NICU RN content creators, your videos have been extremely helpful to me while I was a NICU student extern & even though your channel might not get the most views you should know your platform has lead a positive impact on the people who support you & people who want to become future NICU RNS like me! This video made me tear up seeing how happy you made both of your parents taking them to Paris! I also recently bought your NICU guide & hope to be a NICU RN in the near future!
I totally agree with you. All of us have different circumstances so do not compare yourself to others. I graduated in a community college. I really aspire to become a Registered Nurse. But my parents cannot afford to send me to college. So I work after high school at the same time studying in a community college. I want to graduate as soon as possible but i know my situation that i can only do things one at a time. I eventually graduated and pass NCLEX. Now i work full time in one of the major hospitals in the Bay Area. I am happy and thankful. I become a Nurse and I graduated without any debt and i dont owe someone.
