The school they send you to is to get hired with them correct, but you’re signed and contracted with them for a few years right? If you get fired or whatever of that nature before your contract, you lose your cdl or get fined correct?
I drive for coke. Schedule is 4-10s home every day. Weekends off. Usually 38-42 hours a week. Gross 65-70k. Pretty tame job as far as beverage goes. Some guys complain about not getting enough hours but I’m not trying to work 60 hours a week I want to get done and go home!
So instead of going to a cdl school that requires you to train OTR and be away from home all week, I can train local with coke and be home every night?
2 questions, sir Are you burn out when you get home and wake up str8 to the clock?(my otr mentor told me this "Its the same thing") If you did, would you have time to go to the gym?
I have plenty of time to get finished before 2 pm at the latest most days and then honestly I choose to take a nap but I’m sure you can do the opposite and go to the gym.
@@Colaonwheels I know that but people have this idea that coca cola workers make all of this money, most of them have their money tied up in cars and trucks.
I worked for Coca Cola consolidated i got my CDL thru them but i got my tanker and hazmat while i was there and now make 125k a year locally hauling gas
@@Colaonwheels it was kinda a lose lose situation for me i wanted to move up in the company but we made more than our supervisors so I’d be taking a pay cut to move up lol.
I know for small stores that’s a big order but on the flip side that’s a small order for large stores 😂 full pallet of water that’s not too bad and some cans. Could knock that out in an hour
No you shouldn’t, they don’t pay enough. Pepsi is no different. You could go to work for one of the food service companies and make over $100,000 a year.
Do you finalize the credits first so the handheld updates the final bill total or do you just do the math yourself? And do you get help everyday? Youre lucky lol
shit our drivers would be spilling those pallets. Looks like they are handwrapped. Also still using the plastic pallets we only use those on sideload trucks. All blue cheps up here in NA. Same yale walky and magliner dolleys. Cool man!
It'd be real helpful if you'd link some of the equipment you use bro! like that retractable box cutter! Appreciate the content, I start this job sometime next week.
I would definitely do that! Although things I have for work in the video I was given to by the office at my location. The safety cutter is something they usually give all employees, retractable belt lanyard also came from them and I just basically combined the two to have my cutter like that.
Depends entirely on the Coke you work at. In FL, Saturdays are a required day for all drivers which means you get split days off. Never have 2 off in a row.
@@Colaonwheels No Problem! My 3rd day of training tomorrow. It's been fun so far bro. I will work hard and take care of my customers so I can have a successful career working for Coke.
