@johnkemp4370 I like it on the excavator because you can put more down pressure with the excavator, and you can reach places that the skidsteer can't reach. The same auger can be used on an excavator or skidsteer. You just need a different mount. 🙂

Hey Jeramy good to see getting back into the swing of things I know from my own experience long recovery can make you crazy when you are use to getting up and grinding everyday continue to feel better

It’s a pleasure to watch you work your machines, Jeramy. One of the first chores I did with my U35 was bury the remains of an old house I had burned years ago. I found out the hard way I needed more hole than I thought. Have a great day.

@05450x the trash he is still taking to the landfill, but he is putting some concrete and rocks and several brush burn piles. I generally I don't like burying things. It seems to always get sink holes as time goes by. Thanks for watching, and have a wonderful weekend 😀
For my job, I often work with an 8-ton Volvo excavator, but with tongs to handle stone (I am a stone craftsman). I really enjoy how easy it is to move heavy jobs. Good luck with your projects, I subscribe to your channel. Greetings from Barcelona.
Glad to hear you watch let’sdig18. When I first got my machine. I started watching your videos sorta like a training tool. One night I ran across 18 and watched some of his. I almost felt like I was being disloyal. I sit back in awe watching you guys. It’s like the boom/stick/bucket is an extension of your body. Great Videos! I just ordered a new KX 040 4 and should be here in a couple days! I am however having trouble finding a decent trenching bucket. I like the one you use with the 3 replaceable teeth. Is it a Kubota bucket or after market and I would appreciate if you could point me in the right direction for that bucket. Thanks!
@randysleach thank you for watching, and congratulations on the new machine. I have purchased all of my buckets through my dealer. This bucket is a 12" Werk Brau. I bought it in 2003 and it has been used hard. This is the 5th machine it has been used on, so I am very satisfied with how it has held up. Have a wonderful day 😊
I have one that came with my 040. I’m probably four hours north of you. We don’t real Have ground here that needs one it’s five years old and never been used

How is the swing power on the 80? My next mini/mid is going to have a tiltrotator setup and the 40 (IMO) just doesn't have enough swing power to really be effective.
@SovaKlr impaired to the 40 it has noticeably more. But I haven't ran other 8 ton machines to have a comparison. Hope this was helpful. Thanks for watching.
@brianlb78 I don't know for exact, but with the steel tracks, I would say around 1700 to 2000 pounds, depending on conditions. I set 2800# power vaults now and then, and I can only lift them about 2' and can't reach out very far with them, but it does it. Thanks for watching, and have a wonderful weekend 😀
Yes, it doesn't tear the ground up from twisting and turning to reposition the machine for the next push. And to just angle the blade and blade straight with the spoils, especially when the material is muddy like this, it doesn't seem to work very well.
