Can’t thank you enough Jeramy for all your work on those stumps. We took down about 500 trees a couple years back and stump removal has been on the ‘to do’ list. Great to have so many of those buggers gone. Looking forward to getting the clean up under way 🥴 and seeding for a beautiful & green 2025….& of course, having those stumps gone will sure make mowing a breeze. Such a pleasure to watch you maneuver that 80! Your abilities and skill are over the top! Nicely done & we sure appreciate you spending your day here beautifying the property. 🌳 💪
I helped an ole man about 40 years ago take down a big elm tree. I had my own tree service for just a short time when he asked me to help on this job and little did I know nothing about digging tree stumps out I was a good climber but hated the rest of the work and I knew he was a hard worker so I said yes. When we finally got all that big fork wood out and then all the brush and my most hated part raking down he started getting bottle jacks and railroad jacks and tractor jacks out of the truck and he asked me to grab those shovels and Maddox and bar out of the truck. I said man what are u going to do with all this stuff? He said we going to roll that stump out. I freaked out for a second and then grabbed every thing he asked it took us 2 days but when he snapped that last root and the stump kinda jumped up and I knew it was loose I got excited like when Dallas makes a touchdown and then it dawned on me (now what) that ole man said the hard part is done so now we will get that jade on the trailer and get us some gone Yelp I can still here it 40 years later and me wondering how in the heck are we going to do that. After another day it was almost dark I was driving down the road to his house with a 14 foot wide stump and roots on top of his trailer. We hooked on to a tree so I could pull out from under the stump but when the ass end of the truck come off the ground and a tractor later is was off. That ole man reached in his pocket and grabbed a hand full of money and paid me and I just stuck it in my pocket and thanked him . We sit there just talk in a bit and I told him I liked working with him but don’t never get me in on any more stumps
@randywilson6869 The old timers definitely had things figured out. That is a very neat story. I very much appreciate you taking the time to share it with me. I love stories like yours. Have a wonderful day, and thanks for being part of my channel.
Really enjoy watching your videos and how smooth you operate your machine! If you don’t mind me asking, the little rear view mirror you have, is that a Kubota product or after market ( Amazon)? I have a U48-5 with a camera but I like the size of the one you have. Ca,era is ok for right behind the machine but a mirror like that would be perfect. My eye sight is not what it used to be! 😂. Again, thank you for the videos sir!
@jimpool2889 Thank you very much ❤️ the mirror in the 80 came in it factory, so it it kubota. I accidentally use it more than I thought I would. Have a wonderful day, and thanks for watching 👀
@randywilson6869 I do love the machine, but the thumb does drive me crazy. I think the machines without the daul auxiliaries the thumb works faster on. Even my first 40 didn't have the daul, and it was faster than my current 40s
Jeramy, is the thumb 'that slow' on the KX080, or have you got the hydraulic flow to it reduced to favor the rest of the hydro systems? I don't know, maybe it's just the camera, but it looks SLOW. That first stump was reminiscent of pulling oak and walnut stumps on my nephews ranch....
@carlmclelland7624 Yes, the thumb is that slow. It drives me crazy. It's about the only complaint I have with the machine. I have the daul auxiliarie ports. The single port auxiliaries are faster. Thank you for watching, and have a wonderful evening ❤️
Great stuff as usual. Your opinion...would a ripper be as effective with cutting through roots rather than a bucket. Wondering why it's not an attachment I see you utilize and something I'm considering to purchase.
@kylegershman4668 I actually talked about this at one point in the video. Digging the stumps with deep tap roots, you really aren't breaking many roots. You just have to dig deep enough that the stump will release. A ripper doesn't dig very well. On shallow rooted stumps, a ripper works ok. Thanks for watching, and have a wonderful day 😊
Man, the hydraulics are deafening on the vid. Are they that loud in person? I have a 2022 kx040 and the hydraulics aren’t that loud but the low rumble of the engine is. Always wearing hearing protection.
@bigjimflying7195 No, it's actually much quieter in the cab than my 40, but the swing howl is very noticeable on the 80. I watch your videos when I get time. Thank you for supporting my channel, and have a wonderful evening ❤️
