My passion for woodworking started when I was a small boy. My father did limited woodworking projects for the house I grew up in. Whenever he would go to buy lumber I would love to tag along because I loved the smell and feel of a lumber store.
When I got married and moved out I purchased my first major tool, a Craftsman contractor table saw. Thirty three years later I am a self taught woodworker who's projects range from billiard tables to turned bowls.
I moved into my forever home in rural North Carolina in 2018. I had the long leaf and loblolly pines milled into beams and I hand crafted my own timber framed work shop. It is my dream shop and I now have the space and opportunity to expand my craft.
My passion is now wood turning and making end grain cutting boards. Please join me in my wood working journey.

thanks Amy! I use my Trend Airsheild when I am sanding. More than that, it starts to hurt my neck. A regular dust mask makes me feel claustrophobic. I want to get a 3M dust mask, but they are super expensive.

Nice to see "the OTHER side" of the craft fair business. You have lots of time and materials invested there, but it's all a necessity to achieve that edge over the rest of the vendors. Nice job!!

I do for sure! However, I used my last set for two full seasons and would have lasted several more, with only minor repairs needed from time to time. Given that these are Oak they should last for far more years. It will be a one time investment of the time and materials. They also look much nicer and I hope will be an investment that will bring more customers. Thanks for watching!

Those are very cool. I have seen hand crafted bird house's that the bottom comes off with screws. Those work really good as it is my understanding that new birds like a clean place to start building their new nests. I bought one years ago for my father that was very similar to your new style and the bottom was held on by 4 screws in recessed holes.

So glad to see you are doing better. I was in afib and had cardio versions that didn't work. Then I had a cardio ablation and that worked. I really enjoyed you video. I blew out the bottom on a peanut bowl I was doing from a beautiful piece of river birch. I repaired it and it looks like deaux deaux. I wish I had viewed your video last week. It would have made the difference. Well, now I know what to do thanks to you. Be blessed my friend.

Thanks, I just don't understand these last few generations with all these flavored cigars, hard beverages flavored to the hilt and flavored beers. And what is this green stuff they drink for breakfast. Straight old fashioned cigars, straight single malt and straight up beer. Most bourbon is already smoked flavored by the barrels. I guess this 60 year old will never understand anything but simplicity. They would rather be complex about everything.

Boy, have I ever felt the impulse behind that airborne drill when something goes wrong so far into a project. Consider adding a text layover or a voiceover to help viewers learn from your misfortune. If, as you surmise, the shaft of the sanding disc came loose in the chuck, there could be a lesson about the risk of using a long shaft and the value of checking tightness. Or perhaps inexpensive chucks come loose more easily. I am going to take more care tightening my chucks from now on, thanks for posting this.
