Woodturning, Turning a Throw Away Bowl into $60, Also a Life & Business Update 

Gosh, so glad you have recovered from your 'scare'; a lesson for all of us. I guess many of us took up woodturning as a hobby, got addicted, made lots of stuff, sold a few and suddenly we are under pressure again - it must be in our DNA 🙂 Surely every turner will have to admit to a funnel (or a few) and seeing how you fixed it is very helpful, thank you - with the added benefit of a 'design opportunity' .. it was meant to be!

First of all, I’m pleased you managed to get back on your feet after your scare. Second: good save! I filled my funnels - note the plural - with resin. ‘Turned’ out OK too 🌞

Super job. One addition I’ve used that you might like is to cut a small ring at the join on the inside. Then fill the ring with coffee grounds, mica powder, metal powder, what ever you have handy. Makes it look even more intentional and less of a repair. Great job. Had no idea you’d had health issues. I don’t know what I could have done to help, but I could have been praying for you. Give me a shout if I can do anything for you. I’ll do what I can for you.

Wow, glad you're still with us Mike. I'm going through the BP issues with my doc now, trying to get on the right path myself. Love the faded look and I'll have to try that. This was a timely video as I just funneled a gorgeous chunk of maple today. Stay strong brother!
