This product has been a real savings for me. As I've gotten older, my ability to manage my cross-eye dominance has evaporated and my eye doctor cannot force one of my eyes to take charge through my contacts. This has really done it and I don't flinch anymore on crossers where my left eye would jump in and take control. Well done, Ben! See you at the World FITASC!
I know you said your dad is diabetic. Are you having some things with it too? I am, and would like for you to do a video over some tips for diabetic shooters to kind of go off of.
Interesting how you say that the idea of thinking about what to say to the camera after you have shot plays with your head. It reminds me of a member in a small club I used to shoot at. He used to be near top of the leader board consistently, but then brought his other half and they shot together. His game dropped to a point where he was hitting maybe 40% tops. Everyone noticed it was once he brought his wife. We all thought it was that same mental aspect wrecking havoc. I myself shoot terrible when I go for a 'practice', then on competition days I just feel and perform alot better. Its such a mental game.... but I love it!
I shoot Skeet and 1/2 usually. A few weeks back whist at a sporting setup we had 4 pairs of high incomers at a fair distance (30+ yds id guess) I had a group of about 6 people behind me that were chatting amongst themselves about how they should choke up etc. I knew it didnt matter but popped a 7 1/2 shot into my bottom barrel. I didnt miss one of the birds and they both broke nicely.
I have used 1/4-1/4 and 8's for as long as I can remember, I have lost the 'picture' and my confidence, so am shooting absolutely crap at the moment, but I know its me and not the tools. Really liking your video's mate.
Hi Ben. Quick question on Eye dominance if I focus on something like a telegraph pole with my thumb both eyes open Then close my right eye my thumb stays completely covering the pole but do it with my left eye then my thumb jumps to the left. Does that mean ism left eye dominant. If so would your D rail correct that for me. Kind regards Nick
Watching a lesson from Ben exhibits perfectly how difficult clay shooting really is... when most people who are NOT in the sport think that you just move the gun around and pull the trigger.... I have seen so many people having "strong opinions" until they found themsleves in the peg with a shotgun in their hands....
been visiting malta every year for the past ten years (not covid years) great country very friendly people, so much to see and do, Valletta is fantastic. Enjoy your stay.
One thing which is not highlighted is the new bead is higher than the original. So if you have an adjustable comb you have to elevate it of about 1.5 mm.
I can’t add a photo to illustrate. I’m using it for about one year and happy with. When Ben explains your dominant eye might change in one second is totally true. Suddenly you see the rail from the side and your brain switches to see red bead. Very useful.
I use it for one year. Really useful. Only difficulty is that the bead is a bit higher than the original one. I have adapted the comb accordingly and it works.
After having a break from shooting for just over 20 years I started again last year to find that my left eye had become more dominant than my right eye. Was shooting with my left eye shut before finding this product and taking the plunge to buy it. My 1st day of shooting with it fitted to my gun felt extremely weird but my scores were much improved. Wouldnt be able to shoot as well without it now.
This product is a game changer . I recommend it for any of my students who has to close an eye . I don't have a dominance issue but I use it as my left eye often interfered at the end of a long shoot and this no longer happens
The only eye dominance product that really works for me. It gives me the connection that I need. Comp prize money has covered the cost over and over again.
I've got well over a dozen EasyHits on guns, and I do like them, but I also like the idea of preserving as much sight radius as possible. This 👁️D Rail does look interesting...
