I always thought I was the only one who would write something like 23 1/4 (-1/32) on my cut list. But you’re right, it’s faster and easier that way. I like the style of your video. It’s concise and easy to understand!!

Hello. Thank you for this video . Mine create a stopping point at almost half the drawer. I have 6 drawers and new slides would be expensive. Is there a way to move the slide back more or remove something to allow my current slides more length? Thanks!

How do you get to a 90 degree step up using 15 degrees for only 4 cuts, seems like just a 60 degree which would not get you back to level with the step up? I feel like i am amissing something. The other videos about this use 22.5 degrees for the cuts. It's making me feel crazy. ha

I can fix damn near anything. It's pretty satisfying when you are successful. Information is key. Next is figuring out which tool is the best tool for the job. Then you just need the parts and or materials, fasteners, adhesive etc.

Very cool van, can you drive it at 100 km/h for 2 hours?
@DPShopTalk
@DPShopTalk 3 месяца назад
You could but it revs at 5000 RPM at that speed so your gas mileage is going out the window.

These are the only parallel guides I've seen that are truly parallel. The stuff you can buy requires two readings. If you're off by a mm on many repeated cuts it really compounds the error.

Hi Dan. Awesome video. Will this work with a 1/4" step down as well? Or would the angles(i.e. 15 degrees) have to change?
@DPShopTalk
@DPShopTalk 4 месяца назад
Thanks. Yes it would work with a 1/4" step down. It would just make for a smaller piece.

Doubtless this has been mentioned. But you don't really need 3 jigs. Just set the measuring jig, and transfer that to one other jig, then they are both the same.

Oh that's right! I knew your name looked very familiar Jim but I couldn't place it with a conversation. I really appreciate you reaching out again and prayer is always very much appreciated and needed. I've been preaching through James and I'm currently at verse 14 in chapter 5. The topic of prayer has been heavy on my heart and we've been taking a close look at prayer as we've been going through these verses and how vital it is. Hope all is well with you and if there any way I can pray for you please let me know. Feel free to reach out via email too. Lord Bless.

1:20 I'm not sure if the video is flipped but it looks like your link belt is put on the wrong way? I mean, its not too big a deal, but I've noticed it's noisier. It supposedly causes the link tabs to be pushed, rather than roll when they reach the pulleys, and causes the belt to wear out quicker. I say this because my first link belt, I put it on the way you have it, and it caused the belt to get very hot, and break down faster. The little tabs on the inside started to wear out and if I didn't notice it in time, one could've become so damaged that it would've broken free.
@DPShopTalk
@DPShopTalk 6 месяцев назад
I think I did actually flip it around at one point but I don't have the saw anymore so I can't be sure. I think someone else had pointed that out too. Thanks for the comment👍
